Strategically located in charming downtown Providence. Renovated historical site, a very clean and comfortable hotel, great accommodations and a very attentive staff. Strongly recommend this hotel to anyone who needs to stay in Providence. A great value!

we were pleasantly pleased with all aspects of this hotel and would return again. I was in town to see a concert and it could not have been a better location and lots of great things around to see and do!

Very friendly staff both day and night provided exceptional service, treating me as if I was a close friend or family. The room was very quiet and comfortable, the location was convenient and a pleasant area for walking, and the breakfasts were great.

The location of this hotel is great, and the staff are very nice - and a great breakfast. However, the rooms have very heavily scented air fresheners that make the air very perfumed, and since the window's don't open, you can't remove the cloying perfume smell. Running the fan to try to move the air around just results in the... More

My experience with the hotel was mixed. The hotel is in a great, convenient location. The staff are friendly. The breakfast is pretty good (standard breakfast for a Hampton Inn, but presented with a bit more care than typical). The rooms are nice. Unfortunately, my stay also had some problems, including: - an error recording my shuttle reservation that had... More

Great location very comfortable. Came into Providence on Amtrk and this hotel was so easy to find on foot. Very easy walking to dining and the tour at Brown. City was wasily navigated from this hotel. Would definitely recommend

I liked the hotel, it's staff, the height of the ceilings made for optimal bed jumping. There weren't tubs in the bathroom, just a standing shower but that and all the other furnishings were fairly fancy.

This hotel is a good choice if you are staying in Providence. The rooms are clean and large and the staff is helpful. The only downside to this hotel is that it is not in the most central location. It is about 1 mile walk from Providence place and the amtrak station. You would need to cab it or walk... More

This Hampton Inn is within easy walking distance of the Rhode Island School of Design Museum, Brown University, and good restaurants. It's also in an historical building that was first a bank and then a Franciscan chapel. The breakfast had some bumps: no fresh fruit salad, a broken juice machine, no 2% milk. The manager said it had been a... More

Daughter visited Brown University for open house on Graduate School. Stayed at the Hampton Inn in downtown Providence RI for location. Excellent location relevant to Brown. Easy walking distance although there is a hill to climb so be aware if your are not used to exertion. This hotel as my experience with most Hamptons is very positive. Good value for... More
