I have to admit I stayed here more than 10 years ago, but since I was planning a trip to Providence I thought I'd just see if things had changed since the location of this place is excellent. I've never stayed in a B&B in the USA since this weekend. I felt like an unwelcomed guest in a kooky relative's... more

This so called B & B was listed in a pamphlet published several years ago by Brown University. The only thing it has going for it is proximity to the campus and I wish I had read the reviews on this website before I booked the reservation. The owner treats "guests" like they are boarders in a cheap rooming house.... more

If the stench of stale tobacco, essence of wet dog, and the benefit of a host with all the charm of a bowel resection is what you are after, then this is the place for you. After telling us that the website price was wrong and published years ago, we were told that the new price was $120- not including... more

This Bed and Breakfast may work for you if you want privacy, but don't need fancy furniture or new towels, don't eat much for breakfast, don't mind cigarette smoke, and need a place close to Brown University. I won't go back myself, mostly because I felt more as an intruder than a welcomed guest in this household. The owner is... more

Truly the worst bed and Breakfast we have ever stayed at. As we were led to our attic room I kept thinking that Norman Bates was about to appear. I googled the reviews and our worst fears were confirmed. I wish we had read the reviews before we arrived. But the web site makes it look so lovely. Where did... more

Reading other review is appears I am not in the minority here in saying...do NOT stay here! I have no idea how this B and B is still in business. I surmise it is because the location is good. In the heart of Brown's campus lies this B and B. We stayed there because on the website it appears the... more

We chose this B&B because of its close proximity to RISD and Brown. From start to finish the host was rude - she wore her nightgown for the 2 days we were there. In the evenings our upstairs room was filled with cigarette smoke from her late night smoking. The breakfast was old bread, cold coffee and cheese. We felt... more

I had to laugh when I read the other reviews of CC Ledbetter's B&B -- they captured her crustiness perfectly. I actually got into a fight with her the day I left. The details aren't important -- suffice it to say that she ordered me to do something and I didn't do it the way she wanted. She is truly... more

Great location. Place reeked of tobacco smoke start to finnish. One realizes how we are all spoiled by not being exposed to smoke anywhere anymore. I guess if you were a smoker you might feel welcome here. I wouldn't recommend it otherwise. On a week long college trip of the northeast it was our most expensive and least pleasant night. more

I you like to feel like you are imposing on a weird relative when you travel, this B & B is the place for you. After the owner greeted us in pjs, slippers, and a robe at 7pm, she ordered me to sign the guestbook and to do it "properly" and not "mess it up" so that everyone else would... more
