Stayed in Eastlake room last weekend. Nice big room as promised w. working wet bar and fridge BUT shade didn't work, sink was clogged and the a/c rattled the window panes so bad we had to sleep without on a very warm and humid night, with lots of street noise outside. And we did not sleep well, with a 4-hr... More

Terrific B+B on beautiful street 3 blocks from RISD and a couple more to Brown. Old residential neighborhood (although a lot of vehicle traffic) just a short walk to the campus of both. The B+B is well appointed with an elegant dining room, really nice rooms (ours had old fashioned flowered wallpaper, private bath, 2 double beds, thermostat that you... More

Ideal location for RISD or Brown. We were greeted warmly and were given helpful suggestions for restaurants nearby. The housekeeping ladies were also courteous. We liked the breakfast, which included fresh coffee, juice, cereal, yogurt, granola, fruit, breads, plus a hot item. I also used the breakfast room later in the day for tea and to relax and read the... More

I chose the Old Court specifically because I read a Yelp review that said the location was great, and I wasn't disappointed. It's in a super cute part of town and within easy walking distance from Brown. My room was huge and quite affordable. Breakfast was nothing fancy, but it was fine. (Coffee was a little weak though.) I loved... More

Great location for visiting Brown University. The B&B seems rather small from the outside, but the hallway and room was actually quite spacious. A lovely man helped us to carry our bags up a flight of stairs and helped us to modify a "foreign to the US"-plug, which was very much appreciated. Breakfast was OK. We were unsure how breakfast... Great location, solid service and lots of charm - a recommendable place to stay. Check-in was friendly and a staff member seemed to always be available for us if we needed them. We stayed in the Marple room which was well-decorated, very well-maintained and larger than it looked in the website's photos. The bathroom had all the usual amenities and... More

We stayed 2 nights at this charming B&B. Stayed in the Empire room and the Nightingale room and loved the cosy settings on both nights. Hearty breakfast is a plus! Not the cheapest stay one can find in Providence but well worth every penny. Highly recommended.

Stayed here many times. The neighborhood is redolent of the days of Poe and H. P. Lovecraft who both frequented the area at different times. "The Shunned House," Lovecraft's masterepoeice is actually located right across the street. Poe's favorite churchyard and many wonderful examples of unique architecture are within easy walking distance. The Old Court, a one-time rectory for the... More

Old cout B and B is a nice old house. It is very convenient to Brown University. Our room was fine. The beds weren't comfortable. The linens were fine but not luxurious. It seemed clean. The bathroom was limited on space. I had to put my cosmetic bag on the floor. The air conditioner was a wall unit that either... More
