A beautiful building in a beautiful street. We were shown a number of rooms and it was difficult to chose one which one to take, so add beautiful rooms to the list of beauty on this establishment. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a treat, blueberry pancakes delicious Benefit Street has the occasional traffic noise, which never... More

As noted in other reviews, the Old Court's location is ideal for visitors to Brown, RISD, or the RICC. Most of my fellow conference goers stayed at two of the large hotels directly across from the RICC, while I enjoyed a less-expensive, but much more personalized experience, surrounded by history, antiques, character, friendly conversation, and made-to-order breakfasts. (It's probably about... More

The location, as other have noted, is ideal for those who want to be within walking distance of Brown/RISD and there are plenty of great places to eat. The staff that we encountered were friendly and helpful; breakfast was generous, if not especially memorable (ok waffle, scrambled eggs, etc.); and the baked goods that are left out for guests were... I spent a weekend here while dropping my daughter off for a summer program at Brown University. The staff/hosts are friendly, hospitable, and knowledgeable. The Inn dates from 1860, is filled with antiques, and located in a neighborhood of restored elegant 19th century homes. The Old Court is quiet, clean and comfortable. It is convenient to the amtrak station, and... More

Location is great near universities and downtown but very quiet area. Parking available and free. Owner and staff are very friendly and atentive. The breakfast is one of the best we've seen. It's our second time in Old Court and we do recommend it.

I paid a two-day visit to Providence and that was the placed reserved for me. The whole place, like the whole tone, had a Victorian hue. On the doors of the rooms in Old Court, there were plaques bearing the names of different people. Mine was Mr. Chippendale. The room was spacious with mirrors and paintings, and bed coming right... This charming inn is located just a few minutes walk from the campuses of Brown and RISD. Our room was extremely large and comfortable. It rained one of the days we visited, and the owner had a number of umbrellas to lend. Cookies, cakes, and tea are available 24/7. Breakfast is served for two hours, starting from 8 AM during... We stayed here for one night, arriving by train from New York. The B&B is close to the station so just a short, cheap taxi ride. The proprietor knew we were coming by train and was happy to let us check in early at 12.30PM instead of 2.00PM. This was an "experience" accommodation so we didn't mind paying a little... More

My parents have stayed here for every trip they've taken to Providence since 2007. I went to college across town, and the drive up the hill is well worth it. Quaint, clean rooms with friendly service and easy access to downtown, Thayer street and a Whole Foods, the Old Court is a great change from the corporate hotels that Providence... More

We spent a night here while visiting Providence. Very nice position: close to Brown University, RISD and the city center. Nice big clean room. Breakfast was great, freshly cooked and delicious. Parking in the back.
