We stayed here during out visit to Estes - it was an amazing location with beautiful scenery and lots of wildlife that entertained the kids. The hotel itself is a national treasure - it has been remodeled and "Hollywood-ified" since the Shining and mini-series was filmed...the wallpaper and painting in the MacGreggor room is not original to the building -... Thank you for your great feedback, we certainly appreciate your time. I am most pleased that our staff exceeded your expectations during your visit. We do offer some great promotional values, and we are very excited for the first Stanley Film Fest in a few weeks. We hope to see you there! More

I love the elegance of the hotel, while the kids are creeped out by the hauntings. Rooms are large and a bit austere, to be honest. It's been a fun overnight stay especially with the exquisite view of the mountains.

The Stanley is a very cool old hotel that is a lot of fun to visit and explore, unfortunately, staying the night wasn’t as nice as we had hoped. The front desk staff was polite but not very welcoming. We paid extra to be “upgraded” to the Lodge which turned out to be a nice but standard hotel room. A... More

We stayed at the Stanley Hotel for our anniversary in February. Our room was in the Lodge at the Stanley. This building has been remodeled and the rooms and common areas are excellent. Our room and bath area were spacious. A continental breakfast was available in the breakfast room where you can sit in front of large windows with a... More

Had a Living Social voucher for $99, which included $15 voucher to the restaurant, + upgraded (also at a discount) to a Deluxe Premium King with a beautiful view of Estes Park and the Mountains. There is no a/c in any of the rooms so with the sun shining in the room was a little warm at first until you... More

We really enjoyed our stay at the Stanley Hotel! We stayed on the third floor of the main building and our room was surprisingly large for such an old, historic hotel. The bed was very comfy with nice linens. Our room was clean with a flat screen TV, large walk in closet and it even had an alarm clock dock... More

We stay in room 238 which is a Deluxe King room that is almost directly over the lobby, looking out over the front of the property. The room was nice, with large furniture and a clean bathroom. The floors creak, which I happen to love! There is no air conditioning, but the windows open! So we had fresh air and... More

Thank you for your feedback and visiting our property. The living social deal is fantastic and we have had a lot of positive responses from our guests. Scary Mary is a phenomenal employee and an absolute joy to work with. We hope to have the opportunity to play host for you again. Thank you! More

I had very high hopes that our stay here would be amazing. ... hasn't gone as hoped. I do have to say the font desk staff is very nice and let us check in a little early but then downhill. I wish we hadn't spent so much money here. I had ordered the cheese tray to suprise my daughter as... More

I recently stayed here at this awesomely placed manor on the hill in the middle of Estes park, a town I had visited as a child. Now in my mid30's and my second million on the way, I decided I wanted to stay. I payed a cool 399 on a haunted room but nothing happened? I also noticed how unwell... More

We initially decided to visit the Stanley because of its association with The Shining, and because we had read about its opulence and service. We have not been disappointed on any of our four stays. Understanding that this hotel is historic and therefore has its quirks (no air conditioning, creaky floors, stiff windows), we have always been impressed with the... More
