We just spent 2 nights in Cabin #2 on the river for my wife's Bday. We were going to stay at high-end resort ranch in Winter Park but were happy glad we chose this cozy on-the-river spot instead--1/3rd the price, more serene, all the comforts of home and great hosts! It snowed over a foot during our stay but the... More

You're going to be very well taken care of here: FLUFFY towels, makeup remover, tissues, fully supplied kitchen, large bathroom, beautiful views and wildlife abundant, fireplace AND firewood! LOVE IT!

My wife and I took our first trip to the Rocky Mountains this year. We were fortunate enough to have booked our lodging with Randy and Teresa at Blackhawk Lodges. The environment they create is so warm and welcoming. We absolutely LOVED our cabin and our time there. We plan to visit every year and will not stay anywhere else!... More

We stayed here back in the early 1970s on our honeymoon, so were anxious to return again! Right away, Randy, the manager, was quite helpful in securing a cabin and plenty of firewood (the mountain peaks had just gotten snow). He even hunted up a brochure for us of the lodge from the 1970s era, when it had been known... More

Randy and Teresa offer unparalleled hospitality. The updated cabins retain their rustic charm and are immaculately maintained and very comfortable. Parking and unloading is easy. The Fall River is accessible to all Blackhawk guests, and has adirondack chairs, tables, and firepits along its banks.

We stayed at Blackhawk Lodges in cabin #8 for 4 nights in September. I picked the hotel specifically because of the TA reviews and the economical price. I was concerned when we arrived because I was hoping for something more secluded but quickly realized that all the hotels in the area are close to the road. Luckily, we didn't hear... More

This was my third stay at the Blackhawk Lodge. It is in an excellent location, 3 miles from the RMNP entrance and away from the heavy traffic of Estes Park. The setting is beautiful. The owners, Randy and Theresa, are wonderful hosts and are a wealth of information. We rented cabin 7 (our 2nd time in this cabin). It has... More

They truly love what they are doing and because of that, our stay was perfect!!! They went out of their way to help us with directions, restaurants, fox and elk sightings!!! They even... More

Stayed in Cabin 2 Aug 15-22, 2014. Here are a couple things you need to know: 1) Cabin #1 and #2 are on the river. Only difference is cabin #1 doesn't have a queen bedroom downstairs. 2) Wood burning fireplace inside all cabins. The owners will give you a bundle of wood to burn every night, just ask for it...
