We spent 2 nights here during spring break. One night was spent in TomTom and the other in the big 3 room cabin. We enjoyed both, but the big cabin was chilly after the sun went down, it being March. But Wendye & Shelly came over with space heaters which helped alot. TomTom was the better cabin, with a wood... More

Wow folks, I just can't say enough about how Shelly and Wendey have made the most amazingly restful place by a river so irresistible to be at. The hot tubs are just perfect for each cabin. I love the Dreamcatcher cabin. Private, quiet, peaceful and oh man, the wild turkeys and wild game wandering around was so unreal! I have... More

Your stay here will be well worth it!! We stayed in the Tom-Tom over Thanksgiving weekend and we loved it. We've stayed in other cabins and our 2 boys (13 & 11) said they liked this one A LOT better. "Cozy" was the word they used. Being right next to the river was great, the location is great, the grounds... More

We stayed here in June, just at the time the fires were raging! The cabins (Tom Tom & Dreamcatcher) were clean and comfortable as were the beds. They were well equipped with everything you need for a self catering stay. The cabins which appear attached are only by the bathrooms, the bedrooms being totally separate - we had a couple... More

I can't say enough about River Spruce and the owners, Shelley & Wendye. This place is absolutely perfect! Right on the Big Thompson River, you can walk right out your door to your own picnic table, firepit, & adirondeck chairs right on the river. We stayed in the Thunderbird cabin and it has all of the amenities of home with... More

We were up for a couples/conference and stayed here for 3 nights. It was wonderful with the river right out our door just about 20 feet away. although right on the side of the roadway the units main doors face the river and it was quite with only the river for background noise. The hosts are just wonderful. Great communication... More

We stayed for 4 nights in Thunderbird Cabin, 20' from Big Thompson River. it was near the end of our trip to Mt. Rushmore, Yellowstone and Grand Teton national parks. We needed this stop to rejuvenate. Michelle checked us in and was very helpful while Shelley and Wendye, the owners were in Denver. She guided us to Timberline Clinic when... More

My husband and I recently made our first trip to River Spruce, but it definitely will not be the last! We fell in love with it, and it reminded me of the cabins I stayed in as a child in Minnesota. You can tell that the owners really care about it and it is kept up very well. The bed... More

We were fortunate to spend a week with my sister & brother-in-law in the Windwalker cabin sleeping with the windows open & hearing the rush of the Big Thompson river every night. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The owners were most accommodating with friendly smiles, great morning treats of muffins/breads, and everything is very well taken care of. We... More
