We have been vacationing at this location now for six years. We typically go during the first part of October. The weather is great and the crowds are down. The have an Elk Fest the first weekend in October and is fun to watch the activities. The Lodge is terrific. They have several different size cabins to accomodate just about... More

The Lodge is located along the Fall River valley about 1.5 miles west of Estes Park. The access to the RM Natonal park is either up the road about 4 miles west (Fall River Entrance) or via Estates Park town which is mostly more crowded. The accomodatiuons include a single log cabins ( $ 200 plus/night) and attached motel rooms (6)... More

I've stayed here many times because it's so close to Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Park (each is a short drive away) and because LuJean, the manager, and the staff are so friendly and willing to answer questions and do what they can to make your stay the best possible. This place isn't fancy, but it's immaculate, comfortable, a... More

This motel/cottages are right on the river, great location. Our room was very nice and had small kitchen/microwave. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Staff is very helpful. Will stay again when in the area again

The cabin we stayed was roomy and nice. You could here to river beside the cabin. Our cabin was cleaned and restock every day. I will return. It did get chilly at nite. They made sure we had wood for our fireplace. Cabin 7!!

Our cabin backed right up to the stream that runs through the property and beautiful mountain views right outside our door. The Lodge is located just 3 miles from Rocky Mountain National Park in one direction and just 2 miles from downtown Estes Park. Everyone who works in the office is very helpful and friendly. They make sure you have... More

This business has been built and operated by the McGregor Family and they maintain the highest standards. The "Lodge" is a series of rooms that runs on level with the main office and lobby, but the cabins are amazing. We have stayed in all but one of the cabins over the years, but the "Riverside" will host 3-4 families and... More

We stayed four glorious nights but would have stayed all summer! The staff were so great and friendly. Our cabin was just right and we enjoyed having a fire each night. If you want a rustic, quiet place to stay or even a fun place, Castle Mountain Lodge is it!

Nice cabin right on the river. Wonderful to walk out the back door to the river and see the chipmunks running around. Would come back here in a heart beat. Not the cheapest in the world but the cabin was what you would expect on a river in Colorado!

We have had the pleasure to stay at Castle Mountain Lodge twice and are now looking forward to a 3rd visit this fall. I'm in love with the Great Room. It's attached to the office, but very quiet. Also Fall river runs along side of the property. What a peaceful, beautiful place to stay but yet just down the road... More
