We stayed for a few days this last week after dropping off our daughter at Regis University in Denver. We choose the Maxwell Inn based on TripAdvisor reviews and there was no disappointment here! We stayed in Room #1 and loved the sitting area outside of our door and the view of the mountains. I loved the way the room... More

This is a very nice family run motel. Nice and clean. Close to town and is an easy walk into the center of Estes Park. It is four miles to the National Park entrance. The rooms are nicely decorated and are well equipped. Te beds were comfortable.

The room was nicely done and clean, but small. We were in Room 1 and the two of us had to figure out what to do with our 2 big suitcases. The advantage was that we had a couple of chairs and a small table on the shared deck in front of our room where we sat having take-out dinner... More

We booked our room based on Tripadvisor feedback, and we were NOT disappointed! The location was within walking distance of Downtown Estes Park- great restaurants and shops- and was just four miles from the Falls River Entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. Our room was just right for two people and included a mini fridge, microwave and two comfy chairs.... More

Thank you for staying with us this summer and taking the time to write about your experience. A lot of our guests like our close proximity to the Downtown area and also RNMP, we are glad that our location worked for you during your short stay. Please keep us in mind if you ever get back to Estes Park. More

This is a quirky little hotel in a quiet area on the outskirts of Estes Park towards Rocky Mountain National Park. It was an easy and pleasant walk into town along the river (don't follow the road, take the fairly new river walk). I can't really put my finger on why but the place was very appealing, I guess it's... More

We just spent a week at the Maxwell Inn. This is our third stay at this property in a period of about 15 years, but the first since it has been purchased by the current owners/managers. What was previously an "OK" motel is now a hidden gem. I have been going to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park for... More

Randy & Family - First of all, let me say thank you for your glowing review of us as Inn owners and also of the Inn itself. We have tried to think of some of the little things when decorating and furnishing our rooms, to make them comfortable and convenient for our guests when they are here. It sounds like... More

I will preface this review by noting that the Maxwell Inn has many wonderful features...and from what my wife and I could gather from our three night stay in Estes Park, this is probably one of the nicest places to stay while visiting RMNP...however, we had difficulty giving it a full five star rating. First of all, we can't thank... More

Peter - Wonderful review, very detailed, and honest! Thank you for taking the time to describe our place for other future guests. The detail is appreciated, and it will absolutely help people shopping for a hotel in Estes Park set reasonable expectations if they select our Inn. I also wanted to thank you for "qualifying" your review score. We've had... More

Jack - We enjoyed hosting you and really appreciate you taking the time to recap your stay with us! I saw your picture with the Elk in the front yard - which was a wonderful surprise. Usually the Elk don't show back up in town until a little later (early fall/late summer) - but we hit a bit of a... More

HOTEL THAT THINKS IT’S A B&B—B&B THAT THINKS IT’S A HOTEL . . . . . .or RESCUED FROM THE JAWS OF DEATH The best of a B&B AND a full service hotel . . . in one establishment! Joe - There is NOTHING that I could write that would hold a candle to your review or your creativity. Usually, as a matter of principle, I'll try to match the reviewers enthusiasm for our place in the review response. A few weeks ago (on an unrelated issue, of course) a lawyer told me "Keep in mind, matters of principle... More

We really enjoyed our stay here. The beds are extremely comfortable, town is a short walk away and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We even received a text when our room was ready! The younger man gave us great advice upon check-in about places to visit in Rocky Mountain Park. The younger woman was always friendly and welcoming... More

Thanks for writing a review on our Inn and recounting what you experienced while here! We remodeled the patio last year and added the large automatic natural gas fire pit. It was a great concept then, and has provided an outstanding setting for families, couples, and friends to create memories that will last forever. Thank you again for staying with... More
