You can stay in a chain hotel anywhere. We wanted to have a unique place in the mountains. Furnished with period furniture that some may call worn out, but it was all comfortable. If you want to be pampered, don't stay here. If you can handle functional and comfortable, though old, furniture in a beautiful setting on the river, this... more

When we booked our cottage online, it was described as "looking out at the Big Thompson River". What we didn't realize until we arrived was it was actually on the river...as in the poles of the cottage and the deck are in the water. The first thing we did was open a bottle of wine, sit on the deck and... more

Thank you so much for your review. I wish every customer we have could be like you two, and most of them are. If is a wonderful feeling for us as owners to watch our customers truely having a great time. To walk by the cabins and see people out on the decks sipping an ice tea or a cool...

Absolutely the only thing I can say positive about Loveland Heights is that the river was beautiful! The cabin (Cabin 9) was nothing like the pictures or the discription. The furniture was second hand garage sale, to say the least, and extremely uncomfortable! The deck felt unstable; the only lock on the front screen door was on the OUTSIDE; many... more

There is an acre of grass in front of the cottages open for visiting or play. The back is left natural to enhance the beauty of the mountains as it should be. This is what most people come to the mountains for. The furniture, paintings, and pictures were all carefully chosen to depict the era of the cabins. The only...

the cabins were exactly as advertised. they weren't brand new but were clean and very comfortable. you could exchange your towels when you needed new ones and the staff was very helpful and friendly if you needed advice. it isn't the hilton but it is a rustic cabin in a great location very near where you want to be. a... more

Thank you for a great review, we are fortunate that almost all reviews we receive are like this one. The negative review I received just in front of this one was an exception. They stayed the same month and year as you did. WOW, what a difference. Thank you so much, hope you will come back to see us soon.

Wow what a great experience. We have been coming up to loveland heights cottages for many years. We started coming way back in the summer of 1999. It was just my hubby and myself. We didn't want to spend a lot of money. I called to find out if they had any openings in July. This sweet person answered the... more

Thank you for a wonderful review of our cabins. I think we have the most beautiful setting and everytime I show a cabin and hear their comments, I just thank God I am priviledged to live here. It is so wonderful knowing that there are customers like you that feel as I do

We rented several cabins for a family vacation the summer. The cabins were filthy and in disrepair and it was the dirtiest place I have ever paid to stay. The bathroom drains backed up (with sewage), the bathroom sink was falling off the wall, the pilot lights kept going out in the heater and the stove spewing propane into the... more

I am very proud of the cleanliness of our cabins. I did not personally run the motel in Sept. of 07 but I was in charge of the cleaning. There was nothing wrong with the drains, they smelled gas from a pilot light that had gone out. I personally went in and lit the pilot and the problem was solved....

We decided at the last minute to make a trip out to Colorado and began calling around to find a place to stay only 4 days before we checked in. Loveland Heights had just had a cancellation and the price was right so we went for it. We're pretty easy going and we figure even a bad trip makes a... more

This IS the Rocky Mountains!!! I wish I were there now!! I highly recommend this place to anyone that wants to experience the Rockies. Our cabin had a deck that extended out over the Big Thompson which is purely a fisherman's delight. We stayed in the old cabin that was built in the 1800's (of course it is old-so don't... more

We stayed at the Loveland Heights Cottages this summer in the 3 bedroom cabin. The beds were terribly uncomfortable and VERY OLD. The office was FILTHY. Not just cluttered but gross dirty. The managers were equally as unkept. Contrary to their sign and what the advertise on their site there is NO housekeeping UNTIL you LEAVE. They do not replace... more

This was before my time as management. But my office is very clean and organized. I think that the previous managers were over whelmed taking care of 3 foster children and one of their own. I took it over in 2008.

My family and I stayed at Loveland Heights Cottages during our summer vacation to Estes Park. Upon arriving the fist thing we noticed was how run down the place was. The cabins needed some very basic repairs, a decent coat of paint, anything just to make them seem a little more appealing. The owner greeted us and showed us to... more

Before my time as manager. All of the items that you talked about have been addressed, and we are very proud of our cleanliness. New screens on all cabins, Painting, some new showers, as needed. Actually looks very nice.
