This was my first time to Rustic River; my husband had been a couple of times and he always raved about how nice it was...and he was right! We stayed in cabin 4 which is perfect for 2 people (and a pup). It was very clean, up-to-date, cozy and you can tell the owners really pay attention to detail. We... More

My only regret is that we didn't stay longer. They have such a beautiful property and the owners couldn't be any more inviting. I felt at home as soon as we drove onto their property. This place is a definite must if you're staying in the Estes Park area. It's under five minutes to town if you forget anything or... More

We feel so blessed that we get to run a place like this. We love what we do!! Mountains, river.....we are here so others can enjoy it as much as we do. We were wondering where you eat that Yak burger. Thanks for mentioning the place you had it at. We are going to for sure try that. Thanks again... More

My wife and son (and our dog Rosie) stayed in cabin #6 for three nights. It's a great location, probably 3 miles east of Estes Park. The owners were completely welcoming and really made the stay nice. Clean, comfortable, just the right balance of away-from-it-all/near-to-it-all. We'll be back.

My wife and I started coming to Estes every few years back in the early 2000's. I like what James and Jeanine have done to bring the place back from the floods. The cabins are comfortable and , as the name implies, rustic. The cabins blend with the touch of mountain spirit all around you, and the simplicity is homey... More

My husband and I stayed here years ago and we loved it, this time we came back with our 2 dogs and had to leave early. We stayed in Cabin 8, within 15 minutes my eyes started itching and my nose was very stuffy, it just didnt feel clean. Every dish and pot we used we had to wash first... More

We always take all of the reviews to heart. What you forgot to mention was that Estes Park and the surrounding area does not have any snow. So the 50-60 mile an hour winds were blowing from the time you arrived until you left, kicking up dirt. We clean every cabin thoroughly between each guest. When we purchased the property... More

Deb and I wanted a different kind of Christmas without the yearly hassle of trying to get everyone in one place for at least Christmas day and presents and all the trimmings. It was also our wedding anniversary. What a pain? This year we did something different for our selves, we ran away to Rustic River Cabins and had a... More

Me and my husband came from St. Louis at the beginning of October. I had done my research online and found a few options near Estes Park, and the location is just perfect. About a 5 minute drive from downtown, actually. The campfire was the icing on the cake, especially next to such a pretty view. 5/5 stars, would recommend... More

We had a wonderful time around Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park, and our cabin was the perfect resting spot. Cozy and comfortable, great hospitality - what more could we ask for in a cabin? Great for pets - our Shih Tzu was comfortable and had plenty of space for his walks. He loved going down near the river.... More

The wife and I wanted a little getaway. We wanted to get into the mountains of the National parks and see the views. We stayed in one of the cabins with a private hot tub. This was one of the major reasons we picked rustic river cabins. Our cabin overlooked the river, and while relaxing in the hot tub the... More
