Think again if you have any other choice. My sister and I stayed here and it is any thing far from a "lodge". Its a disgusting, dirty rundown hotel with outdated carpet and furnishings. Nothing in the rooom matched. And just about everything was as old as I am or older including the matresses and bed sheets. I'm not overly... more

I have been to several retreats at this motel. The rooms themselves are old and out of date. However, I have always found them to be clean and comfortable. The event facility is very nice, and, in my opinion, more than makes up for the shabby rooms. I have never been there during the busy season, but off season rates... more

We found this motel as we were driving through Estes Park. I liked the looks of it - - very 50s style! The lobby has a wonderful stone fireplace in it, and the owners are sweet and very amenable. Since then, we have gone back many many more times. The decor is rustic, wood paneling on the walls, and a... more

For the last 5 summers, we have used Bighorn Mountain Lodge in Estes Park, CO for our "end of the Summer" retreat site. We have had 20-25 of our friends attend this annual retreat. All of our friends have enjoyed their stays. This property is a rustic 1950's motel - lodge. The lodge is clean, comfortable, and reasonable. There is a... more

Our family stayed at this hotel, because there weren't any other openings; Labor day weekend. Very dissapointed at the price we paid for this small utdated room. It was dirty and unkept. I could not wait till the next day when wwe checked out. We had reservations at a cabin in Allenspark. Beautiful rustic cabin on a scenic drive from... more

Have stayed here twice. First time our family had a reunion here. Second time on our own. American owners live on site and are very responsive to any needs or questions. Tho the motel is not new we found it to be clean, quiet, and convenient. Many upgrades and room improvements were noted upon our second visit. We found this... more

I have NEVER written a review on a hotel room because I believe that you get what you pay for. But after being charged $117 for what would barely be considered a budget room, I felt compelled to inform fellow travelers. I travel quite extensively both domestically and internationally for work, so I have a firm grasp of what is... more

What a terrible disappointment for our daughter and her new husband, and all of our 70+ guests for their July 21, 2007 wedding. We chose this place for our daughter's wedding and the internet is very very deceiving. It has not been updated, EVER. The reception hall and the deck where the wedding was held, was nice and we had... more

We checked into the hotel where he proceeded to upgrade us to a room with a frige and microwave, Great I thought. First off, the pool is green, second we were on the second floor and had to climb old rickety stairs. We opened the door to find the door hard to open because of the indoor outdoor carpeting and... more

The Bighorn Mountain Lodge is a hotel I would not recommend for the following reasons: 1. Not very clean 2. Fitted white sheet had holes, the top white sheet had dark grease like spots on it 3. The shower curtain had mildew 4. The power surges and so the lights flicker 5. The water heater for the shower is shared... more
