My boyfriend and I visited Estes Park for my 31st birthday. One of the main reasons we booked a room at Deer Crest was because it was an "Adults Only" hotel. We wanted a quiet, relaxing place to stay so that we could enjoy nature and Deer Crest was just what we were looking for. The resort is quite small... More

My husband and I stayed at this hotel this winter. Nice rooms, view of the river. We saw elk around the hotel. It was the 100th birthday celebration at Rocky Mountain national park. A short drive from the hotel to the park visitor center.

We stayed at the Deer Crest after participating in the very fun Whiskey Warm Up event that they hold each winter in Estes. It's a bit further from downtown than we've typically stayed, but it's still a very walkable distance to the main part of Estes, and it's quiet, well-kept, and beautiful. The owners are extremely nice folks, and the... More

We loved everything about this cozy resort. I felt like I was staying at my Grandma's lake cabin only it was even better! (no one tell my grandma!) The furnishing are older but very comfortable and exceptionally clean. The king sized bed was firm but comfortable. The in-room gas fireplace was very charming and worked well. The bathroom looked newly... More

Staying at Deer Crest was like staying in my grandparent's coach house, if I had grandparents that owned a coach house. We stayed in the Fireplace Mini suite, which had a giant, comfy queen bed, a small sitting area, a gas fireplace, a small kitchen (furnished with all the utensils one might need-- forgot the wine bottle opener again? No... More

We had a great time and the resort was super clean and staff was extremely friendly and professional. It was quiet and we got a great value for the money. We were able to use snowshoes at no cost and the park is nearby. We will definitely be back!!

Wife and I stayed here for 3 days in October. We chose this primarily on price as they slash their published prices at the end of the season in October. Very much an "Old School" and "Mom and Pop" operation as others have noted, an absolutely lovely property, great peaceful location and delightful on site owner Ken who seems to... More

We enjoyed our stay at this adult only, non-smoking resort. Ideally located for our adventures into RMNP and Estes Park. The room was very clean and maintained. Fresh and spacious. Having the river run through the property added to the appeal of our time visiting.

I knew it was a good sign when we got to the entrance of Deer Crest and a male elk was standing near the sign grazing! The staff at check-in said the elk had been around all day and sleeping on the river side of the property earlier that morning. Deer Crest is a nice change from the big box... More

We found ourselves with a free weekend, glorious Colorado weather and our "regular" Estes Park lodge fully booked. We gave this spot a try and were so impressed! Wonderful, serene accommodations with new mattresses (really comfy). We kept the windows open at night and could hear the river in the distance. The morning coffee on the little patio by our...
