Decided to take a last minute trip to Rocky Mountain National Park and to be honest, this was the only reasonably priced place that could accommodate a party of 6 - 3 adults and 3 small children. We reserved the Chalet room (room 33), which had 2 bedrooms, a kitchenette, a spacious seating area with a futon, and a nice... More

I lived in Estes for quite a while and then moved down the Big Thompson canyon for 13 years, so Estes has always been our place to go, never stayed at Appenzell before so we were excited to be back in Estes since we were evacuated last September during the flooding. The room was nice and seemed recently remodeled and... More

We greatly appreciate your feedback and are glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay at the Appenzell Inn. Under normal conditions, we do not typically house long-term guests. However, due to the flood that occurred in September, we did make a temporary exception so that they could work on rebuilding our community before Summer. Once we received your call... More

We wanted a mid-week, off-season getaway and wanted an indoor pool and jacuzzi. Append ell is freshly renovated and has young, eager owners and staff. We reserved a king suite and because they were doing off-season maintenance, they gave us a two bedroom suite with great views instead. The furnishings are plain but comfortable, like a mountain chalet.each room as... More

Me and my husband love going to Estes Park and this time we decided to spend the night and try to find a cozy, romantic hotel with a nice view. When we found the website of the Appenzell Inn we just knew that we found what we were looking for to celebrate our 11th Wedding Anniversary. If you want a... More

Staff was very nice, showed us several rooms. Nice rooms. Value not so great but good for a one time thing. Would recommend staying in January for lower prices, and betrer views. Lots of things to do in downtown estes. Lots of things that can be done. Try the fresh carmel.

Jessi and Sarah (sp?) were both efficient, knowledgable, kind, and helpful. I noticed a review just now on trip advisor complaining of a sweatshirt left and taken by housekeeping? Unfortunate, however, I didn't thoroughly sweep the room upon leaving and two hours down the mtn. Jessi called to say that my husband's TAG watch and cash $$ was found in... More

This is the first time that my wife and I stayed at this hotel. When we arrived, we were informed that we were given a complimentary upgrade. The room was large and had a large tub in it. The room was very clean and updated. The front desk service was friendly and accommodating--if I could remember his name, I would... More

Spent a night here with my wife and 2 kids. Very clean and well maintained. We were a little worried about staying near the highway but have no complaints. Staff members were friendly and helpful. Our kids loved the continental breakfast. We would certainly stay here again.

We stayed here in early Sept. during the Scottish Festival. Having stayed here before we were happy to say that it is still charming, very clean and a great place to stay in Estes. Sarah at the front desk was so helpful. We left right before the floods hit. I hope the property is not badly damaged. It is a... More

We stayed here Sept 9-12 when the rain was bad and the flooding started. The staff, particularly Sarah at the front desk, were just superb in how they tried to meet the extraordinary needs of their guests. Even the managers of the on site restaurant Wild Hare came in to fix breakfast for guests until they had to leave for... More
