The manager came out of the office and watched us every time we pulled up, very uncomfortable. The third time she saw that my kids had cotton candy with them and she said they couldn't have it in the room because it was too messy. The rooms have kitchenettes in them. We told her we would go stay some where... more

We've stayed at the Appenzell a few times now and have loved it both times. It's a little gem hidden away in the middle of lots of commercial motels. The grounds are really well taken care of and the hotel rooms are lovely and spotless. The little rooms that are considered the economy rooms are just that, rather small, but... more

We stayed at the Appenzell for 4 nights and loved it. The room was very clean. The bed was awesome (firm but not hard). The tub was a great bonus since we were there snow shoeing in RMNP. The fireplace was on a timer so it made it convenient to turn it on and forget about it. LIttle things made... more

I stayed here for a few nights and was very satisfied. The room was newer, with an excellent bed and new bathroom. It was off-season, and their rates were very reasonable. I would definitely return. more

We stayed at this hotel for a wedding in Estes Park in September. While the front desk staff did make an allowance for us to stay for only a Saturday night, it didn't feel like much of a deal to me ($150 for one night in motel-like accomodations). The room was fairly unremarkable, and quite small, although the bathroom was... more

I surprise my wife with a romantic getaway to Estes Park and the Appenzel held up its end quite well. Our suite heart room was very clean and updated. It is perfect for couples; big whirl pool tub, king size bed, sofa and neat dinning area. Perfect for wine and cheese right next to the fireplace. The small kitchen area... more

My family and I stayed in 3 rooms at the Appenzell Inn for a family wedding. It is a nice faciltiy and very clean and well cared for. I had the hotel like room. Nicely decorated, comfortable bed, a wonderful 5 foot shower with seating and a fascinating "murphy bed" that folded down out of a cabinet. My parents and... more

My wife and I stayed here for two nights on our honeymoon. We had the sweetheart loft. This room was one of the best we have ever stayed. Courteous staff and clean room. Lets not forget the amazing view of the Rocky Mountains directly out our window. We highly recommend this place. more

We were able to book a hotel room at this pretty little inn- Booked late for a quick get away that came up quickly :) Booked one week in advance - I would not recommend this-- We paid $150 for a small but functional room for ONE night - in the new MOTEL area. We were very lucky to get... more
