We just returned from a 4 night stay at swiftcurrent. For the price, this is an absolutely wonderful place to stay at. You cannot get any closer to nature. It is rustic but with all the modern amenities. Very clean. Since it is such a small property , you probably need to reserve well in advance. We did it a... more

First of all, the rooms are very nice and the "off the beaten path" location is wonderful! BUT...I agree that the "enjoy our beautiful backyard" statement is a bit of a stretch. The cabins and lodge sit RIGHT ON the river( I mean FEET away) and each cabin's small piece of yard has a reserved picnic table and BBQ pit.... more

When we arrive we are treated like family, Gary & Coni are fantastic hosts. The accomodations are very comfortable and the rooms and surrounding areas are always clean. This is what brings us back each year... more

Each summer for the past eleven years my twin brother and I have spent a week at the Swiftcurrent Lodge near Estes Park CO. This is a group of cabins situated a few yards away from the Big Thomson River and a short walk to the original entrance to the Rockie Mountain National Park. If you are looking for peace,... more

This was our 5th time staying at Swiftcurrent Lodge. We have stayed in 4 different units. All were very clean & neat. It is rustic & quaint, which goes along with the setting of rapids, boulders & Rocky Mountain National Park which you can get to by walking from the back yard. We have stayed from 1 week to 3 weeks... more

Last October I began to put together a trip to spend a week hiking and exploring Rocky Mountain National Park. A great deal of time was spent on the internet researching RMNP and potential lodging sites. Estes Park is a gateway town to RMNP and is "crawling" with people. I wanted a little peace and quiet at a good value... more

The cabins were so close to the hwy, even though they were right up against the river. They claim to have a beautiful back yard, but they don't really let you use it (have to sign up to sit in it). Beds so uncomfortable, you might as well make an appt. for a massage after staying there. Eeesh! more

Management response from
Gary-Coni, part owner/manager

Customer posted review after being notified of not allowed to return to property. Only sign-up is for semi-private hot tub (a very popular ammenity). Beds are only two seasons old. Can't please them all.
