My husband and I had a great two nights stay here in January. Checking in was fast and easy. The staff is very friendly. I was asking about Elks and the lady at the register gave me the Elk postcard as a welcome gift. This is a little thing but I think it is a nice touch. The cabin (#6)... More

Have stayed here several times, and each time I find clean welcoming cabins and great service. And this trip was more of the same. The beds are comfortable, and love the small kitchens. As we have food allergies this is a great option! The views are lovely, and it is very close to the Park entrance so we can get... More

Thanks for taking the time to write a review of McGregor. As we ease into the "spring time" here in the Rockies, I am always reminded of the absolute beauty that surrounds us as I walk about the property and see resident Elk Brat and Little Boy. A coyote runs through then rabbit and mule deer shortly follow. Looking out... More

My husband and I stayed here a whole week in January and really enjoyed it! The staff is very friendly and the location is beautiful. The cabin where we stayed had a living room and a small kitchen that was perfect for making breakfast. The hotel also has a very nice hot tub (which we made very good use of... More

So glad you all found us and enjoyed your stay here at the Lodge. Jan/Feb/March and April can really be some of the best time of year to see the national park, enjoy the wildlife, and sit back and let the world go by. Yes, indeed, the hot tub is a favorite after sledding or snow shoeing, and feels great... More

Our experience at McGregor Mountain Lodge is just as others portray it--a lovely time at our favorite place....Estes Park & RMNP! We, too, have been coming to Estes Park for many years and have started a habit of coming in the Winter, also. We loved having a fireplace--cozy to look at and have the outside views to enjoy at the... More

Thanks so much for taking the time to share you positive experience with others here on Trip Advisor. We love sharing this beautiful part of the country with others. Today, I came into the office to about 6" of fresh snow, a crisp 8 below zero, but the wind wasn't blowing and the sun was warming us up quickly...now already... More

I've stayed in quite a few places in Estes Park, but after discovering McGregor's, the rest paled in comparison. I usually drive out to Colorado in the Autumn and spend one to two weeks in Estes. I used to drive through the Park and hike around, but "age" caught up with me, so now I can relax in front of... More

Dear Irene, How we love having you here with us at McGregor. Always a pleasure and joy to see your smiley face and welcome you back "home." We all send our love to you during this holiday season. Estes Park itself is a beautiful town engulfed with mountains and nature and you get to see elks on the streets and a variety of birds flying by. I visited this place around 2012 May. Ours was the cabin at the top in the end and right beside it was a trail to the backside which led to the hill.The... More

Thanks for taking the time to write a review of your time with us here at McGregor. The Cedar Lodge Suites are always favorites with the two bedrooms and two baths for up to 7 PPL. Stayed here a couple of times. Fall and winter. It's quite, great views from your front porch. The staff are very friendly. Fresh made cookies and hot apple cider in the lobby every day. There is a resident bull elk that roams the property. Good accommodations and clean. Fireplace and free wood each day. We will stay here again.

Thanks for taking the time to write a review of your experience with us here at McGregor. It does seem that the winter months (November till May) are probably the most peaceful time to be here in the Rockies. That, and the wildlife are all down and around the cabins. Brat, the resident bull Elk, has now been back with... More

Was so happy I chose to stay here! The staff is so friendly and helpful. Rooms and beds are comfortable. Loved the wood delivery every day for our fireplace. Not to mention the Elk we saw the first day we arrived! I think its the closet lodging to the Rocky Mountain National Park entrance.

Thanks for your review... Location is of course one of our biggest assets being located up high on the base of McGregor Mountain offers some of the best panoramic views of the continental divide. The proximity to the park (we are 1/2 mile to the Fall River Entrance) and back right up to National Park property means lots of furry... More
