Aspenglen is a beautiful campground right near the Fall River Road entrance of the park. The tent sites are far enough from the road (the RV sites were not) that you can enjoy amazing views of mountains, deer, flowers, and birds to just the sounds of nature. Most of the sites had ample shade (ours did not-so a shade tent... More

LOVE ASPENGLEN!!!!! I can not say enough good things about Aspenglen...100 feet just inside the entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park on the other side of Estes Park.... well lit clean flush bathrooms...wonderfully clean campground with plenty of space per camp spot with huge bear boxes per campsite...very friendly and helpful Rangers...every evening they sell firewood, charcoal, kindling, lighter fluid,... One of the best campground, especially for the the first time campers. Its neat and spacious (but not much privacy). This campground does not have a great view but it has chances to spot deer & elk. A creak nearby but its closed to reach near the water, after 2013 flood.

First national park camping experience and it was a great one. Quiet and clean with a bear box at every site. The bathrooms were clean and new. We saw a huge bull elk right up the road from out site! I would stay at this campground again. It is the closest campground the the Estes Park site entrance.

Aspenglen is a quiet and isolated campground. Pace here is a bit slower, removed from the hustle and bustle of the larger campgrounds. Clean campground, clean restrooms, terrific on-site rangers. We camped in one of the walk-in sites and felt like we had our own little spot in the mountains. We loved it and will return.

My husband and I stayed here for a night right after moving to Denver. It is a quick drive from Denver, but beware the traffic through Estes Park! We originally went through the Beaver Meadows Entrance at about noon on a Sunday, and there was a very long line to get in the park. However, once we exited the park... More

My wife and myself spent 7 magnificent days hiking and exploring the park. The vistas are some of the best in the Rockies. Elk roam all over the park and you'll see Moose and Big Horn as well. It's smart to get out early to beat the mob and see the wild life.

We loved our visit to Aspenglen campground. Easy to find, clean restrooms, and large sites make this a good place to stay. There is firewood and ice for sale every evening. It is a smaller and quieter place to relax after a day of hiking. We would love to go back!

Have stayed here several times from just a few days to a whole week. Sites are nicely spaced out. Mule deer and other animals frequent the campsite. Typical NP campground - no hookups but have nice restrooms and dump station is located in the Moraine Campground. Each site has a picnic table and fire pit. Great location to hikes in... More

We stayed here for two nights in July. The thing that struck me was how clean and well managed the campground was. The bathroom facilities were very well maintained (too bad there are no showers. our boys got MESSY:) We had one bear box that we shared with another family. There was room for each of us to place a... More
