We just recently returned from a second visit to the Sonnenhof. We were there 2 years ago and wanted to come back ever since. Staying at the Sonnenhof is indescribable. There is such warmth and care not only in every detail of the home, but Rudy and Hilde make you feel like family. Every favorable review is all true! Their... More

Staying with Rudy and Hilde was a wonderful experience. They are very down to earth and friendly people. We stayed in the Rose Room and loved the magnificent view of the valley below. After enjoying Rudy's sumptuous breakfasts, trekking into RMNP in the crisp fall air was a joy. The Sonnenhof is located outside of busy and touristy Estes Park,... More

We completed our 2 week visit to the mid-west at Sonnenhof with Rudy and Hilde. All other places on our trip would have been a let down if we had started at this B&B. Our Austrian hosts were delightful and their home is a reflection of their labor of love. Rudy is an expert wood worker as reflected in their... More

My husband and I started off our honeymoon at Sonnenhof, and what a terrific start it was! Rudy and Hilde were so sweet and made us feel right at home. There was a different, delicious homemade breakfast to look forward to each morning, and we enjoyed talking with Rudy and Hilde to find out more about the them, the bed... More

Could only stay for 2 nites but would have liked to spend at least a week . Our suite was extremely clean, very comfortable with big jacuzzi tub. View was awesome and we could sit out and watch the elk roam the yard in the morning.breakfast was very delicious!!! The best part was the conversation at breakfast, just like being... More

We arrived after attending a 2 day business conference in Black Hawk Colorado. (Casino World) A co worker looked on line and found this highly rated B&B. We booked a couple of nights and thought we would give it a try. My wife had never stayed at a B&B and I had just stayed at 2 prior to this. Upon... More

We decided to stay here for our anniversary after the B&B we always stayed at in Estes Park closed. We were not disappointed. The hosts, Hilde and Rudi were delightful and the breakfasts were outstanding. I told them I was gluten-free and even though he hadn't cooked that way much, did an EXCELLENT job! The gardens in the backyard are... More

Firstly the location is superb and it is far enough away from town and the park entrance but not too far. The room was spotless couldn't fault it at all and as it was our last stop on a long trip it was so nice to be able to end our holiday in such a wonderful room ,house and location.... More

The property is immaculate and beautiful; Rudy's craftsmanship and Hilde's artistry are phenomenal. Having a wonderful breakfast with a small number of guests is a welcome change. A beautiful location in Estes Park made that much more special by wonderful hosts and the feeling that you're in an Austrian home in the middle of America's alps. We're planning now when... More
