The Baldpate Inn is a fine place. It is an old mountain lodge with few frills but a lot of class. It has an attentive staff and great views of the Colorado Rockies. It is simple but elegant. more

We spent two nights at this place and plan to return. The place is relaxed, quirky, friendly and comfortable. It is NOT the Marriott. Vintage furniture, comfy beds, friendly staff, beautiful views and yummy breakfast. Chipmunks, hummingbirds. Walk to a lake.
