My grandson and I stayed one night during our hiking trip to Rocky Mountain National Park. Our room was clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Hiking at Lilly lake and climbing Lilly mountain across the road was fun and convenient We were too tired for the evening snacks but the morning breakfast was very good..

We stayed here overnight as part of a hiking tour we were on. There were parts of this hotel that I loved and others that had me wondering how long it can stay open.. The historic charm is certainly there.. Sitting on the front deck watching the view (and the battling hummingbirds) or looking at the amazing key collection really... More

My wife wanted to sleep in the car! The rooms are run down and dirty. Common bathrooms small and dirty . No air conditioner and windows would not open. Food was okay but dining room was hot. The building should be condemned, it is falling down.

what a place!we visited here 5 times, and each time was memorable. The status is made up of 20 somethings, many foreign countries. They are on incredibly friendly and sociable with great life stories. 1 Romanian girl brought a certified key from Dracula's Castle that was added to their key room, which is filled with amazing historical International keys. The... More

They have lovely little cabins.... pricey, but for a family of four, they were lovely. Absolutely charming. It is as though you step back in time, like to the 1950's! I liked that coffee or tea was always available, that nightly treats encouraged guests far and wide to gather in the lobby to chat. The hummingbirds were well-fed and lovely... More

One of us attended a weekend business meeting/retreat at the Baldpate Inn. I was excited about the location and that was indeed very special--beautiful rustic setting in the midst of the Rocky Mountains. The room was okay, and we were forewarned that the Inn has shared bathroom and shower facilities. That worked okay, although it was a guess as to... More

Very unique inn in Estes Park. Quick drive from town. I was not aware of the shared bathrooms when I booked my stay but very manageable as long as the bathroom door is locked. The key collection adds certain charm and the staff is very friendly.

I get the fact that some folks appreciate the history here but nothing trumps stinky bathrooms and dirty bathtubs. In my room the carpet was dark green which emphasized the fact that no one bothered to vacuum. Sheets were clean but after seeing the bathrooms I certainly wasn't anxious to experience the complimentary breakfast. I got out of there asap!

Let's be clear, this place is charming. The views are awesome and the place is quirky and interesting. It's by far, in our opinion, better to stay in a place with this much charm than in a bog-standard motel//lodge BUT there are some drawbacks. The biggest of these is that it's NOISY, so if you're a light sleeper you may... More

This historic Inn is minutes from Estes Park, Colorado. Far enough away to truly get away from it all, but close enough to make a perfect stay while visiting Estes. My family stayed in one of the cabins surrounding the inn, it was great for a private atmosphere. There is so much nature it's hard not to unplug during your... More
