My husband and I just stayed at Moraine campground for a second time last week. It is one of our all time favorite campgrounds. Close to Estes Park, and only a 1.5-2h drive from Denver it's very convenient and easy to get to. Rocky Mountain National Park is also one of our favorite parks and this campground is in a... More

This is a beautiful campground - much as I remember it from my time there as a child. The campsites are not very private (but many are adequatly spaced), as the ground cover is not real tall, but it seems to have trees at most sites. The campground is on a hillside and the sites are all at different levels,... More

I hate to say this, because we love our national park campgrounds but this one was a little disappointing. There are just too many sites in too small and area. If you are camping in RMNP, Moraine is centrally located and probably your best option (Glacier Basin has had all the trees removed), but book early and try to get... More

Beautiful, awesome, views galore, spacious sites and clean facilities- what more could you want? How about sunsets behind glorious mountains, open spaces for kids to run around and beautiful rock outcroppings to climb. This is the best campsite in Colorado- especially if you get one of the sites on the A loop as most of them have amazing views. We... More

We stayed here for two nights. The campground is perfectly located in the Rocky Mountains NP. It is close to the highlights. You can easily drive the Trail Ridge Road from here. The campground itself was nice. A firepit to make your campfire. You can buy some wood near the entrance. The restrooms are pretty clean.

I stayed in three different camp sites throughout a weeks time.. each one was delightful in its own way... one was close to the entrance (about A133?)... LOVED it.. next site was A081 (? maybe ?? high on a rocky ledge - above a bathroom :) And finally, spent two nights on B loop.. worried about the "no flush" toilet... More

Stayed at site A128, please note that you have to walk through another campsite to get to this site. Once you get past that the view from this site is spectacular. It is a tent site only. The site looks across a valley and has a 12' rock wall blocking you from the loop road, quite private that way. Washrooms... More

This is truly a nice campground at the heart of RMNP. We went on the Memorial Day weekend. We reserved well in advance, and thanks that we did, because this campground (and other campgrounds in the NP too) were full. The rangers were very helpful. The restrooms are clean with toilet papers available. The only problem we had because it... More

We camped, Aug 2007, at Moraine Park Campground in Rocky Mountain National Park, for only one night. We stayed in B loop, sleeping in our van and our site was beautiful and very private. We booked ahead of time and I was glad we did, the campground was full that night! There are many wonderful campsites in this campground, many... More

My husaband and I love to camp at Moraine Park Campground. We go there at least 3 or 4 times a year. It's the best!!! The views, easy access to hiking and the nature is all around you! You won't be dissapointed in the least.
