Yes: I get it. If you are a church group or family on a budget and want to be near the Rockies this may be the place for you. But if you are over 40 and seeking a comfortable bed, a beautiful view (not surrounded 360 degrees by parking lots), and indoor serenity (not dormitory or youth hostel style slumber... more

We spent 4 days at YMCA of the Rockies and had a wonderful time. We had the cafeteria meal plan and I appreciated being able to sit down to prepared food right away, as we were traveling with younger kids. Our rooms were in the new Long's Peak Lodge and were quite comfortable with 2 queen beds and tub/shower. No... more

The YMCA of the Rockies is a great and affordable vacation for the whole family. We loved the location being so close to Rocky Mountain National Park. We liked the ease of the cafeteria style dining especially in the morning. The food was good, not great, but very filling and a pretty good variety. We did get tired of it... more

I go to the YMCA occasionally with friends to get away from it all and reconnect with people I don't often see. The fall season is great to hear the elk bugle, fish and ride on horseback. Doing nothing is great too. The cabins are cozy and remote enough without being too far in the boonies. We didn't have a... more

The people were Friendly and helpful and check-in was breeze. The mountains, trees, wild life and fresh air are fantastic. The food was OK. I ate there because time constraints and because my dorm room price included meal tickets. There is plenty to do there and I will be back for recreation some other time. This stay I was doing... more

This was the first time I stayed at the Estes Park Center as a guest. I had been a summer employee there in 1977. A number of things have changed since that time, of course, but it is still a great place to enjoy the mountains. There are numerous activities available at the Estes Park Center and Rocky Mountain National... more

The scenery and wildlife in the YMCA are incredible, of course. I couldn't believe what I got for the price I paid. I came for a conference and was so sad to leave! I loved the Quartz cabin - very private, excellent views, comfortable porches, and a well-appointed kitchen with a nice gas stove and big fridge (no microwave though).... more

I love this place! It has everything from basic rooms to resort-style lodging. The people who work there are all very friendly and helpful. There are many students from other countries, as well as senior citizen volunteers. The cafeteria style food was plentiful and satisfying (and surprisingly delicious!). I cannot think of anything negative to say. It is definitely one... more

Our "date of stay" for this review is officially July, 2009, but we've stayed here several times, starting with our first visit in August, 2004. Before trying the Y camp, we've visited the Estes Park area countless times over the years and stayed in a variety of accommodations including campgrounds, rental condos and houses and hotel rooms and cottages. The... more
