Pros: 1. Breathtaking views 2. Friendly environment, families playing ball together, very relaxing environment 3. Loved the christian atmosphere with families playing cards in the motel/lodge entry way. 4. Brand new lodge room - charming rustic interior Cons: 1. Horrible breakfast, 1 step above edible. If you just eat the cold foods, you'll be fine. If they cooked it, don't... more

We went with a youth group consisting of adult chaperones and teenagers. The YMCA has many advantages--there is much for kids and adults of all ages to do, including mini golf, swimming, teen nights, story tellers, hiking in Rocky Mountain national park (which shares a property line with the Y) frisbee golf, volleyball, a library, basketball, a great crafts building... more

I stayed at the YMCA property with a group of 14 women who went to the area for a hiking trip. We stayed in an 8-bedroom reunion cabin and it exceeded our expectations! There are 4 of these on the property and we stayed in Fairchild, which is on the end and has expansive uninterruped views in 2 directions. The... more

We stayed here in June 2008 for a week long family vacation. The YMCA grounds are absolutely pristine and beautiful! So many activities and fun family and group things to do. They have just about everything on site you could need. While our accommodations were pretty basic if not primitive we still had a great time. We stayed in the... more

I stayed at the YMCA of the Rockies, Deer Ridge Lodge for 5 days, 4 nights. The first room given to me was horrible, spiders, spider webs, things smeared on the wall, ripped carpet, and it smelled like a locker room. I complained and was given a handicap room (all they had left) which was clean and suitable. It was... more

We stayed at the YMCA of the Rockies for four days and had a great time. We have a family with five young boys, and our room had a queen bed and two sets of bunk beds, so we were able to use just one room. The rates are reasonable, the accomadations were fine. If you're used to 5 star... more

My husband's family booked a reunion here because they had often stayed at this Y camp in the 1960s and 1970s. They certainly won't be staying there again. We arrived at noon, hoping to get the three cabins ready for everyone's arrival. Check-in, it turned out, didn't begin until 3:00, and the cleaning crew were so far behind that we... more

My daughter stayed for one night at this YMCA. She came home covered with bed bug bites. We brought the matter to the attention of management and hope they do something about it. Meanwhile, check your beds, the carpet, and the room in general before staying. more

We had heard how convenient the YMCA was to the National Park and that it had terrific views. This is both certainly true, however what was not told to us is the fact that for $144 per night, we got something similar to a boys dorm room, complete with musty odors and cleanliness to match!! No AC ( it was... more

Let me first start by saying the location is absolutely perfect. It is the perfect centralized location for exploring RMNP and for exploring downtown Estes Park. What I was not prepared for was the overall outdated feel of the resort. After checking out the dining areas we immediately concluded that we would be eating off property or fixing our own... more
