We won two nights here at a benefit silent auction, so we weren't sure what to expect. Suffice to say after night night in this hellhole, we went and paid for another night elsewhere. Where to begin - the 'carpet' was the dirtiest, most stained I've ever seen. The bedspread was so old and threadbare I would be embarrassed to... More

This is a 139 year old Historic property and it shows. It was perfect for my needs. I found myself with a rare weekend alone and wanted to go hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park. I used a Denver Daily Deal to get a cabin for two nights for $62 (see photos). It was barebones but had a good bed,... More

I've actually stayed here three seperate times, and probably won't stay anywhere else when in Estes. When you first drive in; the appearances can make you second guess your decision to stay here, but it really is a fun place to stay. Most of the lodging is in small cabins. We've stayed in the smallest one bed to a larger... More

If you are looking for 5 star Hilton experience this is not the place for you. On the other hand if you would like to see what life in the 1880's was like in Colorado this is a opportunity to do so. We stayed in a cabin that was the first church built in Estes Park. What fun imagining the... More

My whole family was together - a rare occasion - and decided on the spur of the moment to take an overnight in the mountains. We drove to Estes Park and proceeded to look for lodgings in mid-afternoon. In mid-July, it was questionable that we could book rooms, but to our surprise, we saw many Vacancy signs. The hunt for... My husband and I stayed in one of their cabins overnight for our anniversary, and we loved it! This place has tons of character, and the older fixtures (windows, doors, many more), added a very reminiscent touch. Our cabin was very clean, and we loved the sound of the river and the horses in the evening. The staff is more accommodating... More

Got a groupon for a visit. The cabins and lodge look beautiful from the outside. However, once you get inside the cabins they were in need of heavy repairs. The carpet and flooring in the cabins warranted keeping your shoes on for fear of what was IN the carpet. Young staff that didn't appear to know what they were doing.... More

We stayed in Mid September 2012. I am by no means picky but I was shocked by the conditions of the Elkhorn. When you pull up to the Elk Horn the first thing you notice is the out buildings with broken dirty toddlers toys laying all over, cracked windows with sheets for curtains and garbage laying about. While the lodge... More

This place is awesome and people that don't like it need to stay in a holiday inn with a spa and room service and hint of western decor, not a historic working ranch. You don't go for the pampering, but there's a lot of reasons to go still - We got 2 family suites and a chuckwagon diner and horseback... More

The floor boards in the hall were very squeaky and the wi-fi was amazingly slow (other people were watching movies on their laptops so it might have been might computer). Having said that... The price was amazing, I enjoyed waking up to the soft sound of horses galloping around, I walked to main street for breakfast and coffee every morning,... More
