We could not agree more with the last reponse posted. We also got married at the Taharaa Mountian Lodge. The place is gorgeous, but the owners were very strict and quite unfriendly. I would NOT recommend getting married there!! more

We are just returning from a wedding hosted at the Taharaa Lodge in Estes Park, CO. While the lodge itself was beautiful I have much advice to those contemplating having their wedding there. I was warned about the female proprietor of this lodge long before I experienced her firsthand. If you don't mind an overbearing, inappropriate, and unprofessional person assisting... more
Taharaa Mountain Lodge is a wonderful base for exploring Rocky Mountain National Park. The lodge and rooms are warm, the views incredible, the breakfast delicious. Our innkeepers were gracious and attentive, but for those who deplore "rules" , be aware that the "house rules" could rub some the wrong way; it was not a problem for us, but we could... more
My wife and I just stayed here May 12-14th, 2006. Highlights of the Taharaa included the expansive views, well designed suites and main spaces, Ken and Diane's warm personalities, the breakfasts were both excellent, and the happy hour was a nice touch. Some lowlights of our experience (particularly in our Dunraven suite): - Being an "award winning" luxury bed and... more
My husband and I just spent a weekend at the Taharra and although we loved the building and the views the service and all the "little things" you except from a B&B were just NOT there for the price you pay... The management was friendly and the lodge rooms were nice but nothing about our stay was different then staying... more
This was my second stay at Taharaa and the best part about it was the absence of the Owner Diane. The rooms are amazing. Gorgeous everything. I will be back next time she is on vacation or after she sells it. more
The Taharra is a great spot in Estes Park about 4 miles out from center of town. Nicely furnished rooms and i believe every room has a great view, gas fireplace, and small deck. The breakfast food is very good and filling and they provide tea/coffee outside your room in the morning. The inn keepers are an EXTREMELY friendly and... more
This review is well over-due, as it's been over a year since my wife and I stayed at the Taharaa. Our original plans changed due to emergency surgery a mere 2 weeks before we were scheduled to stat at the Taharaa. They were more than accomodating in changing our reservation, which was surprising as most B&B's are quite strict with... more
My husband surprised me with a stay at the Taharaa for my birthday a couple of years ago. We were so pleased with our experience that we returned last year for our anniversary. The owners went out of their way to make us feel special and arranged with my husband to have flowers for me in the room on our... more
The Taharra has nice asthetic features, but the service was not what we're used to for their price. The owners were almost militaristic about "dos and don'ts". We did not feel comfortable or relaxed during our 2 night stay in fear that we would break one of their many rules. One of the people in our group staying at the... more
