We really enjoyed our stay at Crags Lodge. I wanted to especially endorse their restaurant, The View, which overlooks downtown Estes. Their new chef and team have some incredible dishes. My daughter loved the Brie soup with truffles. A dry aged steak and fresh trout entrees were prepared to perfection. We finished with a huge peach cobbler that was out... More

Ann is wonderful to have at the front desk. She is very welcoming. Our dinner was amazing and we were given a peach cobbler because our meal took a little longer than they wanted. It was great. I would definitely come back. Room 310 was great.

The room we were given was so small clattered with oversized sofa bed, coffee table and a dining table. No room to lay even small suitcases. The room smelled musty with a combination of urine. We could hear all the music, conversation, bathroom noise from next doors. On top of that, they told us that there is no housekeeping service... More

I am a Diamond Resorts owner and this isn't the quality I expected from the resort. Don't get me wrong, I love old hotels for the character, but when the heat/ ac and showers don't work properly this doesn't make me happy. I could care less about the decor, but the shower was either ice cold or scolding hot. It... More

Although the rooms are small, the staff is extraordinarily friendly and helpful. The hotel has a large lobby area with a billiards table, games, books and dvds. There's a beautiful outdoor pool and hot tub. We stayed in room 303 that had good outside air circulation. Estes Park is a great small town with a terrific river walk, restaurants and... More

My wife and I stayed here for one night on a quick trip we took to Estes Park. Our rate was reasonable (booked through Hotels.com), and there was a $5 resort fee charged on top of our rate at the hotel (that was disclosed when we booked, although as others have said I'm not sure what the resort fee really... We checked in for just one night but wish it was longer. The views from the lodge were spectacular. Location was perfect. Ann at the front desk was very pleasant and extremely helpful in suggesting where to go during our short visit. Love the feel of the place - the brass keys add to it. The room was clean and... More

This was my second time staying here and found it to be quite disappointing. First, the hot water seems to come and go and the changing the temperature is extremely sensitive, coupled with the hot water tank going out. Second, even though the restaurant was closed above us, there were still many footsteps above us that precluded us from enjoying... More

We stayed here on a last minute trip to Estes Park. The resort is mainly a 100 year old building. Loved the character of the main building. We were "upgraded" from a studio to a 1 bedroom. I don't know that it was any better. We were in a separate building on property. These rooms, while 1 bedroom with a... More

I found a deal for the Crags on Groupon, and I could not be happier. While the Groupon itself stated the hotel was in/near Colorado Springs, it was a two and a half hour drive to get to the Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak. For us, though, that was not a big deal. Our room was fabulous. It... More
