This is now a Diamond Resort called The Historic Crags Lodge. We stayed here for 3 nights. It is a beautiful old (100 years +) lodge with a great location and a beautiful view overlooking the town of Estes Park. The staff are friendly; the internet was free. There is also free parking and a library of books and movies... More

We stayed a long weekend at the Crags Lodge so that we could enjoy Rocky Mtn National Park. Our one bedroom suite was on the 3rd floor and provided a wonderful view. The decor was quite plain and the wooden furniture was worn, but still functional. The rooms were tidy and the linens new and thick. We had everything we... More

This lodge is cozy and inviting. We stayed in a studio that had a nice kitchenette that was fully stocked with pots and pans, a toaster, towels, washcloths, paper towels, silverware, etc. The only thing I did bring myself was dishwashing soap, not sure if they had it at the front desk, I never asked. The room was sufficient and... More

Nice place to stay. Has a beautiful view over Estes Village, (see picture) and a nice living/lobby with a big chimney to read by. The staff is very helpful. It is a difficult to find the way to it, so check very well the map! Recommended

Boasting one of the best views in Estes Park, the lodge sits apart from downtown motor lodges and offers an appropriate Rocky Mountain rustic feel. With a floor plans dating back before the days of classic condo design, our room had an awkward entry right onto a king bed that nearly touched the closet. Once through that entry, the kitchenette... First, I think you need GPS to find this place. Thank goodness I got it with my rental car. I don't think I ever would have found it otherwise. This place seems best known for hosting weddings. If you arrive while one is going on, it will look like there is no place to park, but the "reserved" spots are... More

People were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and very large. It had 2 rooms and a Kitchenette and 1 1/2 bathrooms. Real silverwear, china and even crystal. My only complaint was one of the toilets did not flush.

We had a wonderful experience from when we were so warmly greeted at the front desk to when we swam in the heated pool at night under the stars. Elk visited us on the grounds and a bunny even hopped over to see us. Great location. Be sure to get pizza from Sweet Basilico and donuts from Donut Haus!

Nice historic lodge - room configurations a bit strange, but understandably upgraded throughout the years. We had a parking lot facing room - ask for city view if you have a choice. Walls and floors not not very beefy - you'll hear everyone walking down the hall or stairs - again, this is an old facility and advertised as such.... More

There are not many places more beautiful than the Rocky Mountain National Park in the fall when the Aspen Trees shimmer in golden splendor, but there are better places as a home base. I am not sure what the Lodge is like, but don't let them place you in the Annex! Our stay was in a "One Bedroom" and although... More
