Like Chris W we were travelling Hwy 101 and needed a place for the night with no advance research. Whilst I don't agree it is the 'Horror Hotel' as Lindsey H describes it, it has clearly seen better days and not seen any investment for some time. I would strongly counsel the owners (who obviously have bought a retirement lifestyle... More

I did not write my review when I originally stayed here a while back, but I must now. We stayed here for a leisure trip with friends and all of our kids. I am now returning back to crescent city for my daughter's tournament, and due to large volumes of people, most quality places are booked. So, at last resort... More

1).Beds are very uncomfortable. I was there 12 years ago for one night and I never came back because of the very thin bumpy night sleep I got. I thought that with the new ownership I might have better luck this time. Not! When I asked the owner if they ever thought about getting new mattresses I asked if he... More

We were traveling Hwy 101 with our family and had to locate lodging late at night. We got to the hotel at 1:30 am and promptly put the kids to bed and went to sleep ourselves. We awoke at 5:30 in the morning to our baby screaming. We have a very mellow infant so we were alarmed that she would... More

This place was magical. My boyfriend and I stayed in the king suite for my birthday. The inside was nice but really I was there for the view. My favorite part was sitting on the balcony drinking my coffee in the morning. So peaceful. Close to the local aquarium and great food. Reasonably priced, amazing view, very friendly staff. I... Getting ready to head up to Cresent City and our stay at Oceanfront Lodge. We enjoy our trips up there and would not stay anywhere else. The owner treats you like family, the view is beyond beautiful and it is like being with family. Great staff, great view, and the rooms are so comfortable. "Cresent City here we come and... More

I scrapped up a 2 because of the amazing location, views beachfront. It seems this place is in a slow decline j to disrepair. Standard hotel decent rooms, but u can see the mismanagement at absolutely every turn! Can charge to your room at the restaurant that is right in the lobby!?!? One person working laundry restaurant and front desk,... More

We found the place to be clean and peaceful in our 3-night stay at the end of October. No complaints about room preparation, and the rest of the facility looked fine. Don't really understand all the negativity, but if it was justified earlier, the place seems to have improved of late.

This was our second stay at Oceanfront, and most likely our last! Check in was okay; polite but not really welcoming! Noticed that the surfaces touched by public, doors, elevators, etc. could use some cleaning, and the rugs in halls and at reception desk could stand to be vacuumed. Room seemed clean and the view was definitely the best thing... More

What I came for was a quiet, relaxing stay and what I got was exactly that! The room, a King Jacuzzi for $169 per night, was clean and comfortable. The mini kitchen had a refrigerator, sink, and microwave. The view was perfect. The restaurant was great. A big 3 piece portion of fish and chips was $15. The Mongolian Stir... More
