It's not easy to find a nice place to camp in the California redwoods at the last minute before the 4th of July weekend, but we hit the jackpot when we found a site at this KOA. Although much of the campground looks like a parking lot with all the RV "campers", the tent and cabin sites are right in... More

I probably would have rated this KOA higher but they stuck us in an area that made us feel like tenters were to be out of site. The focus here seems to be on their cabins and RVs. The campground sports all of the typical KOA amenities and was well kept. The staff courteous. The tenters are sent to the... More

If your someone who stays in camping cabins, this is by far the best setting you could dream of. Are redwoods why your looking around here? Well we had then around us. Dreamy! A few miles north of town on a very fast road so it's easy to get stuff you need.very clean grounds. And facilities. Pleasant management. But if you... More

First the good: the setting for this KOA is better than most. One section is among second growth redwood forest and is secluded, which is better than most KOA's our group stayed at. As with most KOA's the bathrooms are clean and they have free wireless internet. Lastly the staff were very friendly and accommodating towards our group of students.... More

We stayed in cabin number 12. It was a welcome spot to kick off our shoes after a long drive up from Mendocino. The staff was courteous, the location was clutch and the facilities were well kept. Overall, a great first experience with KOA. I have no doubt that I'll stay with them again.

We came from Oregon on 101 so were happy with the location on the north end of the Redwoods. Nice campground and clean bathrooms. Our site was tucked into the Redwoods which was nice, but also very shady (like dark), and much much cooler than the spots in the sun. Little sunlight hit our site so we slept in every... More

After hiking in the redwoods all day this was a fantastic find! We stayed in a cabin, very comfortable. The bathrooms were clean. The area was nice and quiet. Bring you own sheets or sleeping bag as there are none provided. The cabin had two bunk beds and one queen size bed.

It was one of the best camping experience I've had in along time. First we pitched a tent and realized the next morning that it was still to cold to through up a tent. Hence we were the only ones throwing up a tent lol. Never the less we upgraded to a log cabin family of six. Both sites were... More

A little pricey, but I guess KOA's are like that. You're paying for the security of knowing you're at a legit campground. We got to camp under a giant redwood, so that was cool. Tent site with 110 electric so we could run our space heater. It's right on highway 101 so you hear the traffic going by but fortunately... More

We stayed in a bunch of KOA camping cabins through Oregon and California and this location was by far the best. The cabin we had was set back in amongst the redwood forest and the setting was absolutely superb. They had a great rec room with free wi-fi, the playground was great for the kids and the staff were really... More
