We stayed at this motel last night and before we left I booked another stay. Rooms are small but well kept with new carpets and vinyl. Not a lot of luxury but the location and the customer service was excellent and the price was great. We will be back.

Thanks for the review! We love to hear when a guest enjoyed their stay here. Our rooms are not huge, for certain, but we do have a few "larger" rooms. Rooms 15, 16 and 17 all have quite a bit of room in them. 12 and 19 also have a larger layout/feel. Unfortunately, there's not much to be done for... More

Most of the rooms are right on the beach. Unfortunately we were late reserving and got one of the few non oceanside rooms. The motel is on a wonderful beach and steps from the ocean. If we stayed there again we would plan ahead and get an ocean view room, Our room was a bit musty smelling but the room... More

Thanks for the review! We're glad you enjoyed your stay here. The rooms in the block building do tend to have a bit of a salty scent. We do our best to mask this, but have heard from most guests that they would prefer the natural scent to that of most air fresheners. The joys of a stone building in... More

Perfect little affordable bungalow on the the beach. Nostalgic (but modernized) clean rooms, hey they even have K-Cups! Door opens to your deck, the dunes, the ocean. Just about everyone who was staying there were very friendly and laid-back. Sunsets from the deck are simply amazing! Staff is professional and the breakfast room had a nice fresh selection and is... This hotel is right on the beach. Walk 10 feet and you are on the beach. Clean, not too modern, wonderful staff, close to harbor and restaurants. I drive 2000 miles just to stay here because it is truly a vacation spot. You can walk the beach and find seashells or just sit on the porch and watch the beautiful... More

Thanks for the review! You sure traveled a long way to get to us and we appreciate it! The weather this year has been fantastic and I too enjoy looking for the whale spouts. We hope to see you again! More

We found this motel to be a great deal. To find a low priced, beachfront accommodation in California is pretty amazing. Yes, it isn't anything fancy, but it is clean. The rooms all open to a deck with chairs and beyond that is the ocean, so you can easily listen to the waves crash as you sleep. There were K... More

Stayed in the 3 bedroom house by accident. It started out sketchy, the key didn't work, there wasn't any water. But the staff were very kind and responsive. In no time we had both working. The deck and windows gave a full view of the ocean. A large variety of seating in the home both comfy and for dining. The... More

Thanks for the review! A lot of people don't know about the Beach House, it is probably one of the better kept secrets in Crescent City. We feel that you really can't beat the view from the house's balcony. I do apologize for the sketchy beginning to your stay! The maintenance guy had forgotten to turn the water back on... More

You get what you pay for is true in many cases. This hotel was under $100 and it was clean and the staff was friendly. It was right on the beach and you could walk along the stretch of beach. There was free wifi and the front desk staff was efficient and accommodating. There was a TV in the room... More

What ever the hotel lacks (which is considerable) the views and how close the beach is make up for it all. Reasonable rate, odd room layout, small uncomfortable beds, out dated heating system but clean. Most rooms come with a sliding glass door in back so you can just walk right out on the beach. But if the glass is... More

This was just a sleep over stop on our Road Trip to Portland. The motel is easy to find, just off Highway 101. It's toward the end of town but still close as the town is quite small, in fact so small that there isn't even a 7-Eleven! So get your snacks and drinks before you get there. The best... More

We stayed just one night at the Crescent Beach Motel and paid $116. Check in and out was very efficient. The room was more than adequate, decorated in the traditional generic motel style. The bed was comfy and we had a lovely view directly onto the Ocean. The door of the room was literally feet away from the beach. Shower... More
