This hotel is right on the beach. Walk 10 feet and you are on the beach. Clean, not too modern, wonderful staff, close to harbor and restaurants. I drive 2000 miles just to stay here because it is truly a vacation spot. You can walk the beach and find seashells or just sit on the porch and watch the beautiful... More

We found this motel to be a great deal. To find a low priced, beachfront accommodation in California is pretty amazing. Yes, it isn't anything fancy, but it is clean. The rooms all open to a deck with chairs and beyond that is the ocean, so you can easily listen to the waves crash as you sleep. There were K... More

Stayed in the 3 bedroom house by accident. It started out sketchy, the key didn't work, there wasn't any water. But the staff were very kind and responsive. In no time we had both working. The deck and windows gave a full view of the ocean. A large variety of seating in the home both comfy and for dining. The... More

You get what you pay for is true in many cases. This hotel was under $100 and it was clean and the staff was friendly. It was right on the beach and you could walk along the stretch of beach. There was free wifi and the front desk staff was efficient and accommodating. There was a TV in the room... More

What ever the hotel lacks (which is considerable) the views and how close the beach is make up for it all. Reasonable rate, odd room layout, small uncomfortable beds, out dated heating system but clean. Most rooms come with a sliding glass door in back so you can just walk right out on the beach. But if the glass is... More

This was just a sleep over stop on our Road Trip to Portland. The motel is easy to find, just off Highway 101. It's toward the end of town but still close as the town is quite small, in fact so small that there isn't even a 7-Eleven! So get your snacks and drinks before you get there. The best... More

We stayed just one night at the Crescent Beach Motel and paid $116. Check in and out was very efficient. The room was more than adequate, decorated in the traditional generic motel style. The bed was comfy and we had a lovely view directly onto the Ocean. The door of the room was literally feet away from the beach. Shower... More

You cannot deny that the view from this Motel is spectacular - even when we went on a rainy, humid, colder day. The surrounding neighborhood is kind of dive-y, with more motels, but that's okay - it's a great stop on the way to the Redwoods. We ate at a local place (got takeout for the Motel room) and it... Nothing fancy to this place really, but the lady at the front desk was quite friendly, and the direct access to a relatively untraveled beach right on the Pacific makes up for any lack of fanciness. The town of Crescent City really doesn't have much going on, which makes this kind of a funny spot to stop, but, again, being... More

Thanks for the kind words! Crescent City is a small town and there isn't really a thriving social scene here, but it does have a lot of natural beauty. We're glad you chose to stay with us and experience a little bit of that nature with us. We hope your travels find you safe and that if you're ever in... More

Last time we visited was three years ago and we intended on staying only one night. Luckily we were able to book a second after we saw the room and its ocean view. Loved the experience of staying right on the beach. Have stayed at other "beach hotels" and had to walk long staircases or trekked a distance just to... More

Thanks for the review! We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed your second stay with us. October was a little wet this year, but I tend to think the beach and ocean have a different sort of charm when it is raining (even the storms are neat, but I stay indoors). We hope you'll be able to stay longer next... More
