Our stay at the Curly Redwood Lodge was all that one could ask and much for in a local motel. It was spacious, super clean and very handy to all of nearby activities. We toured Jedediah Smith Redwoods S. P. and Redwood N. P. We checked out the harbor and generally enjoyed ourselves. I would stay at Curly Redwood again... More

The Curly Redwood is absolutely nostalgic. I could not believe how well preserved the redwood furnishings were after sixty years of guests. When visiting the Redwoods, spending the night here is almost a must. See the trees- See the building. Sylvia at the front desk was very helpful sharing insider info and back routes to Crescent City sites. Seventy bucks... More

Easy access. Close to the harbor. Front desk staff was very friendly during check-in and out. Quiet, large room. Hotel was built in the 50's and there has been some updating, but it still has the retro vibe. Furnishings and T.V. are old. No breakfast, but there is free coffee in the front office in the morning.

Located on the south/west part of town. Was very easy to get too. Front desk lady was very nice and got us checked in/out quickly. One queen was $61.60 including tax so couldn't complain. Nothing special and no breakfast but it was an enjoyable stay.

Our accessible room had one of the best ADA bathrooms I have ever seen. Room 16 also has it's own ADA parking spot. The two queen beds are 34" apart but once you back out, there is a huge area to turn around. Its basic, but for the price, its fantastic value.

My wife and I stayed here on a "Pre Honeymoon" trip through California and Oregon. The Curly Redwood Lodge was very comfortable. It is by no means a fancy place, however the location was perfect. It is across the highway from a couple of nice restaurants and the harbor. If I am ever in Crescent City, CA again, I will... More

Room: Very basic, as the lady who answered the phone said "what you see on the website is what you get." The hotel has to be one of (if not THE) cleanest hotels I've ever stayed at. The carpet was so plush, and so clean that I even walked around without my shoes on (not something I do in hotels... More

The Curly Redwood Lodge was bare minimum, but we got a good night sleep and shower. We had to ask for a hair dryer and they gladly provided one. We had breakfast and then dinner at restaurants within walking distance and strolled the harbor as the sun went down. We would stay there again.

My parents and I were down to visit the Redwood National Park and chose to stay here because it's different from the other hotels. Though it doesn't have a continental breakfast of toast and coffee like most other hotels, the entire building is made from a redwood that was struck by lightning in the 1950's! Thus there are huge beams... More

We are return guests and will return to Curly Redwood Lodge again when traveling in California. We were headed south on I-5 and detoured to the coast because of the beauty of the area and we knew we would have a beautiful, comfortable and budget friendly place to stay. The drive to Crescent City from Grant's Pass was a beautiful!... More
