Arrived jet-lagged and exhausted from a very long trip. It was like arriving in paradise. Our room was extraordinary, Michael and David were wonderful, genuinely friendly and very helpful. The breakfasts were our of this world, loved them. The setting is wonderful, pristine, quiet and with fantastic views. We would return in a heartbeat. In fact, we were sorry to... More

Our comments about our stay with David and Michael last autumn at the Kane Plantation are greatly overdue... We are buried in snow here at home, so I now sit down to tell you our story . . . My wife and I travel often. We enjoy warmer climates, though two of our favorite destinations are Nantucket and the Pacific... More

We stayed at the Kane Plantation Guesthouse for 2 weeks in Jan and what an experience it was! We were lucky to have stayed in both the Kanaloa and Kane suites. The Kanaloa is roomy with a cool outdoor shower and a beautiful lanai with amazing views. The Kane suite is drop dead gorgeous! David and Michael are such gracious... More

Stayed here in the Kanaloa suite for a first trip to HI with my husband for a fun winter getaway. David, Michael and other staff are very attentive, service was just outstanding. The breakfasts here were some of the best I've ever had and I'm an avid traveler. We planned our activities so we didn't miss all the outstanding food/drinks.... More

We stayed in the Kanaloa Suite which has THE BEST views of the ocean, gardens and area around the B&B. We really enjoyed relaxing on the balcony, the cool breezes and sounds of the area. David and Michael are wonderful hosts and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Each suite is special in its own way and... More

The Kane Plantation is a very special place and one without equal on the 'Big Island' and even around the world. David and Michael have created an amazing B&B with accommodations, service, and attention to detail that would rival a Four Seasons Hotel. The breakfast was amazing and David and Michael were incredible hosts. I would not hesitate to return... More

We stayed in December 2014 for 3 nights at Kane Plantation. It was our first trip to Big Island and it will remain unforgettable and unequaled. The place is a bit difficult to find, but Michael sent us unsolicited a detailed description which helped a lot. In the middle of nowhere we found a gem of accomodation, which they understating... In November 2014, my wife and I, along with another couple spent two weeks vacationing in Hawaii, visiting 3 islands. The highlight of our trip, from a lodging point of view, was the two nights we spent at the Kane Plantation. Hosts Michael and David could not have been more gracious, thoughtful, or helpful. Whether providing (unsolicited) beach chairs and... More

Six nights at the Kane Plantation's Kanaloa Suite spoiled us. Michael and David have created a B&B unlike any other. From the perfectly appointed suite with welcoming treats, to the incomparable breakfasts, everything shows an unparalleled attention to detail and a commitment to the highest standards. Sunsets on the lanai were magical (ask Michael about the green flash). Your hosts... More
