I've been a customer of the Calumet for years. This portrayal on Hotel Hell was completely false. That place has never been better. I commend all the people that see it for what it is,,, excellent after the new owners.. 10 stars if I could.

Thank you for your review! We are pleased that so many people have been touched by the entertainment value of the Gordon Ramsay show. Having been on two reality TV shows (one with Chef Ramsay, one with Travel Channel's new series airing on December 2nd), we are open to new avenues of getting the word out there about this historic... My wife and I decided to try the Calumet Inn for Sunday brunch. The food was excellent. Although the entrees were to Midwestern tastes rather than Gordon Ramsey, they were very nice. The Tequila glazed ham was a treat as were the Eggs Benedict. The caramel rolls were homemade and important for us very good coffee. Well worth the drive... More

Thank you for your review! We take fierce pride in the talents of our young kitchen team, especially the dynamic duo who lead up Sunday Brunch. We switch up the buffet menu weekly to keep things exciting, and it pleases us that we have exceeded your expectations. Our coffee is Fair Trade and Organic, which explains its superior and bold... I was a bit nervous about staying at the Calumet Inn because of the recent appearance on "Hotel Hell' - I didn't need to worry. The staff was always charming and helpful - ready to get ice or give recommendations. The hotel itself is fascinating - very historical. The continental breakfast, while not extensive, included bagel/toast/English muffin, coffee/tea/4 kinds of... More

I've been looking for a downtown historic stay and this was perfect. Claw foot bathtubs w shower option, old marble top vanities and matching bedroom furniture. Their Ghost Stories book is great, inviting guests to share their experiences! We love this place and the historic town itself!

We had a lovely time staying at this beautiful historic inn! It had so much character and was very clean. We requested a historic room but you could also choose a more modern room. The breakfast food was very good, especially the home made blueberry and strawberry jams. My husband said his flat iron steak at dinner was very good... More

I stayed at the hotel for three days to meet with work colleagues. Great, historic setting. Nice town with lots of old building, as well as the Pipestone National Monunment -- a site where Native Americans will go to quarry pipe stone, just down the road. Very cool that the recent owners are reviving this historic property. It's a work... More

My friend and I stayed at the Calumet in August as a base for going to explore Pipestone National Monument. The historic building has character, and is made of the same stone as many of the buildings in town. There were some decorating touches that were out of step with the character of the building, but it still had a... More

Although I travel frequently, I typically stick with larger regional and national chains. This trip however, I took a friends advice and decided to try the historic Calumet Inn. It was easily the best hotel experience I've had in the last year, and probably top 5 ever. There's no doubt this hotel is older, but its staff obviously takes pride... More

This hotel is basically the heart of Pipestone. If this can be revitilized, I believe the whole tourism industry can be revitalized. The daughter of the owners ent above and beyond to make sure that we were accomodated in a room to our liking. She herself, helped to get a specific room in order for us....wow.....lucky parents to have a... More
