This is a solid 3 star hotel. The breakfast was very good. Our room bed was old and very soft. When the wife would move it would bounce me around rather than other beds that we have had at Holiday Inn Expresses. Also, the sliding door to the bathroom was hard to close and the room picture had it's frame... More

Room entrances are outside. Property is clean, breakfast is usual HIE, with plenty of space to eat. Quiet too. Target store located within walking distance in case you forgot to bring something or need something. Target is handy for stocking up on sodas, snacks you can put in the room's fridge. Property next door is an old creepy looking abandoned... More

Stayed here for one night on December 20th. As we were traveling with a dog, our options were limited. As it is motel style, we faced th parking lot, and roadway where some truckers parked. We (and our dog) heard every noise ! As it had snowed earlier, our daughter wasn't keen on walking around outdoors to find the pool.... More

Being right off I-40 this hotel is in a really convenient location. Close to stores and restaurants. It's only 15 minutes from the airport. Security guard monitors property during the night. I recommend a courtyard facing room. Probably quieter than facing the street or parking lot. Although I didn't notice the Interstate traffic. The best feature of this hotel is... More

As others have noted, this is not a typical HIE property as it must have been converted from another hotel. It is a two floor square with a central outdoor courtyard and rooms either facing the courtyard or towards the streets. All outside stairs and room access. The room was standard fare and was fine for a night - comfortable... More

Hyatt Park Place Uptown sold out. Web reviews of HIE looked OK so we took a chance. Big mistake. Dec 16 check in during cold spell. Sort of a Bates motel "homeyness." Room AC/heater could not be controlled...just kept getting hotter and hotter or colder and colder depending on selection. No Auto setting. Called Maintenance ... couldn't fix it. Spent... More

Stayed 2 nights on business. I don't usually stay at hotels with outside door to parking lot as a single female traveler, but this was okay. Back window with curtain looks over to indoor pool area which is a clever feature. Fairly convenient location. Next to shopping and local restaurants. Beds were average, but clean.

This hotel was close to my in-laws for a 4 night stay. The front desk was friendly, professional, and helpful. Daily breakfast had the good variety we've come to expect at HIE. We are Platinum Elite members, and were upgraded to a suite. Yay! The room was spacious and clean, although the bed was quite soft. Two items to bring... More

It is a good hotel with very nice staff. I only stayed one night here but I remember that at first I was surprised that it look like a motel (2 floors with room doors going to outside veranda not inside corridor). But again, very nice staff, let me stay longer and help me with the business room (printing needs... More

We had a two night stay here on our Route 66 trip and found it very clean and the staff extremely helpful, especially when we had trouble with the washer n the laundry room!!!
