We chose this hotel due to the close proximity of the Balloon Fiesta. When I made the reservations I asked if you could see the balloons as we were not going into the festival itself. You can see them but I do recommend you go to the festival to really experience it. Now I know. Overall the hotel is very clean, the lobby is great as every night we and our friends would end our day with cocktails (our own provided) with sitting on the couches & chairs. It is close to Old Town as well. Easy access on/off freeway. The hotel was very quiet and it was pretty full. The breakfast was great - omelettes, etc. Lots of parking. The staff very kind and you can opt out of housekeeping should you wish. We had a bedroom and a separate living area with couch & TV. The indoor pool we had to ourselves as well. There is a Denny's within walking distance otherwise you do need to drive to a different restaurant. We stayed 2 nights with no problem. Easy check-in and check-out.

Staff was very friendly. We were able to check in early. Room clean and up to date. We were next to the elevator which we were worried about noise but pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was. Room faced sunset which made a beautiful view in the evening! Highly recommend staying here!

Booked a 1 Brm suite….what they deem a 1 Brm suite is a regular room with a sofa, micro and sm refrig??? Property is expensive, dated, dirty, musty and is desperate need of remodeling and they put us in the room next to the elevator. Paid $50 more than neighboring motels to treat ourselves to a “suite”. Feel ripped off! Don’t let their website pictures deceive you, they had a very good photographer! Sometimes things aren’t like they seem in a picture. The Choice website showed my one night stay checking in on the wrong (next) day and checking out more than a month from now. The total was correct so no harm. Overall not the experience we are used to from The Choice chain.

The hotel is a bit outdated and could use a makeover. Most problematic is that they told us if we reviewed the hotel prior to check-in we would have our early check-in fee waived. Please note, that they wanted us to give a review of our entire experience PRIOR to checking in. I give a review at that point that was moderate as I couldn't guess what the experience was going to be. Once I returned from the visit, Choice sent an automated survey. I answered the review honestly (which was not positive) and they contacted me after that review, to inform me that they were now charging me for early check-in. The hotel, in essence, is charging people for giving a poor review, and rewarding customers for giving good reviews (of a product they have not experienced). VERY SHADY!

The room needs a major overhaul. The configuration was strange. The ceilings were low, carpet brown/orange-ish with a red stain that may have been blood? Cheap furniture and decor (what little decor they had), plastic guards on corners, no closet doors, hairs in the bed. Totally NOT worth the price of a night's stay in this establishment. We will choose a different hotel next time we are on the way through Albuquerque.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay here. From check in to check out everyone was awesome. Ashley was very helpful and sweet, so appreciate her. Also, wanted to say the maintenance guy ( I believe is Bear) was a super hard worker. The beds were sooo comfy, breakfast was amazing and all items requested for housekeeping was always fulfilled. Quick note also the pool and hot tub are very well maintained and cleaned daily. Thank you for making our stay wonderful. We have already recommended you to family for an upcoming stay and we will be back.

This seemed like a newer location. The breakfast crew had trouble keeping up with food and coffee demands, but what was there was fine. The green chili sauce was a nice touch. We checked in too late to try out the pool. The elevators are smaller than normal. The lady at check in was nice. No one was at the counter to checkout in the morning, so I left my room keys in a pile with the others. This area felt like a safe part of town.

Front Desk clerk was very friendly and personable. While I was checking in another guest told him a light bulb in his room was out. As soon as the clerk finished with me, he got a bulb and personally responded to the other guest request. The room was clean, spacious and very comfortable. The only negative comment I have is the eggs offered for breakfast are prepackaged omelettes that are heated in a microwave by staff.

Lana and her staff did an amazing job during our 10-night stay over the holidays. This hotel has really grown into a great property due to Lana and her staff. Worse thing about the hotel as how it is understaffed and the GM (Lana) works so much more than expected. Best thing about that is she sees and knows all of her guests. We were treated very well and our family were so grateful for the smiles and kindness. Definitely has become a better managed hotel. Great job

On our way up to Denver, we stayed overnight at this Comfort Suites in Albuquerque twice. On August 15 and 20. The hotel looks tired and lacks maintenance and landscaping. But more importantly the front desk employees on both occasions had a terrible attitude and seemed not to care at all about the guests. On 8/15 we arrived late afternoon and the front desk agent was sitting down focused on his phone. He had no name tag and wore no face mask. I had to get his attention to be able to check in. He made no eye contact asked for my name, looked up the reservation and asked: 1234? (last four digits of my CC). Not immediately getting what he was asking for I said do you need my credit card? Agent: you don’t understand what I’m saying. Do you want to use this credit card? Sure, even though I pre-paid this reservation. Agent asked: how many keys? I responded: two. Agent did not look at me. Did not mention how wifi worked or the hours of breakfast the next morning. He certainly did not bid us a good stay. It was the most inhospitable arrival experience at any hotel, ever. The Wifi code on the key card was misspelled (hm instead of nm). I had to go to the front desk to clarify. The front desk itself was torn up and had duct tape to keep parts together. On 8/20 we stayed one more night at this property on our way home. Upon arrival at around 5pm we were greeted with a non-welcoming “hello” followed by “can I help you?” I told the agent we were checking in and I gave her my last name. Contrary to what happened on 8/15, I was asked to show my ID and credit card. I signed multiple waivers in case my pet would destroy the room and was given the key cards. The room number is right there and the elevator is behind you, the female agent pointed out. If Diamond members of Choice Hotels are treated this way, I wonder how non-members are? There was no TV channel lineup in the room and not even an alarm clock (room 219). This room did have a small soap dish, the previous room (109) did not.
