I stayed at the Hyatt in Downtown Albuquerque for a recent conference I attended there. I arranged for late check in and when we arrived, there were no more non-smoking rooms. We were offered a $50 credit to stay in a smoking room and then moved to a non-smoking room the next night, which was an improvement in more ways... More

This hotel is in a good location for shopping and eating. I was there for work and the location proved to be good for a short drive to Sandia Peak as well. The staff in the hotel are VERY good. They actually care about what you want and need. I even had a waiter be proactive with getting me allergen... More

Hotel was OK until I encountered the biting bedbugs. Unpleasant, to say the least.

Even if attending a conference at the hotel (as I was), I'd stay elsewhere, noting that the Doubletree is only a block away. Cons: -- No real thermostats -- Non-adjustable desk chairs -- Few accessible power outlets -- Internet service provided by T-Mobile (~$10 for a day pass, and a long sign-up process) -- Possible pattern of overbooking & walking... I made our reservations before checing our the comments by guests on this site and ,therefore, was really apprehensive abour staying there. We has none of the problems others had. No problem in checking in with our luggage. When we had our luggage on the cart - only then did they ask if we were gong to self park. No... More

It started at check-in. I parked in the large driveway in front of the hotel to unload luggage and check in. But as I tried to do this, the valet told me the area was only for valet parking, and I needed to move to self-park if I wanted to check-in without using valet. Nice. Parking in self-park is $10/night,... More

I agree with some of the other reviewers that stated that this is not your typical Hyatt. When I arrived, I received a phone call roughly one hour after checking into my room advising me that maintenance was going to shut off the water for approx. 2 hours and that I should take a shower, etc. before they started the... We attended a convention in Albuquerque and stayed 5 nights at the Hyatt. There was nothing special about this stay. I had asked for a mountain view as was advertised on their website. I got a view of the building next door. The humidifier I had requested was not in the room. There was less than half a roll of... More

This is the third time I have stayed at this hotel and I find it an average Hyatt. There is nothing particularly wrong with it but there is nothing superior about it either. Our room overlooked the park....again. I always ask for mountains and I always get the park side. The carpet in the room had a spot in front... More

Unless you are forced to stay here because of a convention, I would never recommend it. I don't know what Hyatt the reviewers who had a positive experience stayed in, but it couldn't have been this one. Understaffing was a huge problem. I never had one meal at McGrath's that was even mildly warm. The menu is extremely limited and... More
