This hotel is right off I-25 - a great location to get around Albuquerque and to get to Santa Fe. Right now (Sept 2014) the traffic is a mess around there because of a massive construction project that will be going on for at least another year. There are ways to get around the traffic - just ask. The rooms... More

Really enjoyed my stay. Big and clean rooms. Nice gym. Great places to run. Not many options for food close by and lots of constructions close by but the hotel is really nice. Staff is helpful and kind. You have to pay for dinner and breakfast if you don't have Marriott status but food is fantastic and worth it

Tnis is not one of Marriott's "best" hotels. The renovation from a former brand did improve the rooms and restaurant but the management does not pay enough attention to things like ambient smoke-aromas in the room. Cynthia in the concierge lounge was wonderful. I agree with other comments - in-room refrigerators would be great. The security cameras in the parking... More

My wife and I have stayed in an executive suite in this hotel twice. I have no complaints about the room. The king bed was super comfortable and the room furniture, fridge and sink were nice. The bartender staff in the lobby bar are really nice and friendly. The make good libations too. I ordered some buffalo wings while sitting... More

This is one of those John Q Hammond hotels. I've had tough luck at every one owned by this outfit. Started out with arrival, and as soon as I entered the front door it smelled of stale beer coming from the common lobby area. People had spilled their beer on the rug and never cleaned up. Then the elevator smelled... More

Dear Steve S. Thank you for your feedback. The issue you indicated you encountered would certainly not be our standard and I can assure you would not be the norm for our hotel. Our housekeeping team works hard to ensure our hotel is fresh for our guests and we apologize for any inconvienence you may have encountered. More

Stayed in the hotel for 3 nights in August 2014. Overall, it is a positive experience, clean and quiet hi-floor room and nice amenities (tried the outdoors swimming pool, nice in August :) ). My only concern was the wireless internet package I bought with my room, seems like it does not like my VPN connection and kept on knocking... More

Stayed a week here. Check in a breeze. Very friendly people. Rooms are good, no fridge though. I mention this because New Mexican cuisine can be abundant and you may be tempted to bring a doggy bag to the hotel, but no place to store it. While at the bar, try the local brew, very good beers. Breakfast buffet is... More

Wife likes this Marriott as one of her favorites. Likes the open interior design which is reminiscent of the Marriott Marquis in Manhattan and Atlanta. We usually stop there when passing through to somewhere else when we are traveling on I-40. It is worth the drive 6 miles north.

I was there for two nights this month and there was an overwhelming smell of sweat in the room, like someone with b.o. had sat on the upholstered chair and they couldn't get the smell out. It followed me to one side of the bed so I slept on the opposite side and piled pillows up trying to get away... More

To be fair, almost every hotel in Albuquerque is in the middle of nowhere. It is fairly unimpressive city with poor public transport and the various suburbs linked by freeways. You definitively need a car. The hotel seemed to be in an office park area. We were using it as a base for trips to Santa Fe and other places... More
