Sarabande is a delightful bed and breakfast in a nice residential part of the (Rio Grande) Valley, the part of Albuquerque with a long history of Native American and Spanish settlement. The Valley is my favorite part of the city because the water table is near the surface, which makes it a natural oasis with lots of shady trees. Sarabande... more

The good: Extreamly nice Hostess. Great area to stay w/ plenty to do. Awsome breakfast. Decor was true to the area. Beds...to die for, slept like a baby. Very quiet. Nice court yard to sit and relax. The not so good (I would NOT say 'the bad'): The facility, while fairly clean, did need some TLC and repairs. The deck... more

My husband and I have stayed at Sarabande 3 times in the past 18 months. We have always found the property to be very accommodating, and our hostess Janie is the most gracious B&B owner we have ever met. We travel frequently and have stayed at many B&B's in Texas and California. Janie's breakfasts are healthy and delicious. The rooms... more

We booked the 179.00 suite for 2 nights (Thurs Oct 12 and Fri Oct 13- departing Sat Oct 14) during the Balloon Fest weekend. On Fri Oct 13, while we were out, the owner removed our belongings from the room we were staying in, placed the contents (including a $1200 computer) in an unlocked room (the laundry room). She wrote... more

We spent 5 nights at Sarabande during the Christmas holidays. Our room was lovely, warm and cozy with the gas fireplace providing a wonderful tinge to everything. Everything was comfortable and well taken care of. The main inn part was wonderfully decorated everywhere with dried roses, giving off a beautiful aroma all the time. The kitchen and main eating area... more

We stayed for a night at Sarabande in the Lilac Room. The room was very tastefully designed and stylish with a seperate living area and large bathroom. The bed was really comfortable and the location is peaceful being outside of the city. Janie made an amazing breakfast with a never ending supply of fresh pancakes, omlette and fresh fruit alongside... more

I have stayed here twice in the last several years, and both times I have had a lovely time. Both were one nighters- and I had two different rooms. One of the visits I had they upgraded us to larger room because they were not busy. Both times I have been there the staff has been courteous and pleasant. I... more

We enjoyed the pool, breakfast, people, and hammock, but be aware that the pool-side room (most affordable) does not have a window. I felt a bit claustrophobic, although the room had a/c and a fan, I really like to sleep with the window open, and was not about to sleep with the door open. Tiny window in bathroom didn't allow... more
