Recently I made the right choice and stayed three nights at the Route 66 Hostel in Albuquerque. What a welcoming staff! They were enthusiastic about their community sharing tips on sites and activities in the area. An interesting detail about the hostel is the wide variety of international people visiting, which makes for a most interesting experience. Breakfast, made by... More

Good value for the money. Really nice staff, cozy house but a bit toooo cold in the room. It was freeezing outside and our room was also a bit to cold. The kitchen and the common areas are big. I'm really happy they had eggs for breakfast and not just pancake as every hostel I've been to in US.

Thanks for the review and kind words, Jennie! Sorry about the heat. It's often a struggle with our historic building and even more historic central heating system to keep temperatures comfortable for all. We hope you'll come and visit again! More

Got there and was greeted by friendly staff and a pretty girl that understood my geeky magic shirt , totally chilled place, clean and easy to park outside. Close enough to town to walk to recommended bars , tiki bar especially good.

We stayed in private room 9 (jokingly referred to as the presidential suite), it and the whole house are so charming with a quilted bedspread and pictures of old ships in the upper hallway. Felt like staying in an old ramshackle house, which it is, so obviously sinks/taps are old but it all felt clean and charming to us. Some... More

We were running really late driving from Vegas and we had no accommodation planned for the evening. We called the guys here and spoke to Ryan, and he agreed to stay back late for us to check in. We thought this was great but what really took the cake was when we crossed the border into NM, we didn't realize... More

This review is a little late! I stayed here for 4 nights in October 2014. I spent two months in hostels across america and this was one of my favourites. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The price was great, I rocked up without making a booking and kept on extending my stay without any issues. The kitchen facilities were... More

So I stayed here for two nights and I'm not sure where to start so I'll go with the positives. Decent location. Bus stop is right out the front, 20 minuets from Greyhound/Amtrack by foot (or $7 cab ride) Shops within walking distance, and Old Town 10 minuets away on foot. The older gentleman who works the desk was the... More

So .... the accommodation was basic but fine..kitchen good. The issues we had during our overnight stay involved feeling rather patronised by the requirement to do "chores" before check out (they actually give you a card telling you what to do- even if you haven't been in the area they ask you to clean) this we found ridiculous. There was... More

Im going to preface this review by saying that this was my first stay at a hostel, but I was not let down. The staff was friendly and extremely gracious. Not once did they shy away from any questions, and were quick to give tips about the area. If youre looking to stay at the ritz ur in the wrong... More
