Monterey Non-Smokers provided us with a truly pleasant stay. Safe, immaculately clean, & affordable all describe this sweet motel. Also important to us, however, was our welcome from the owners. Henry and Bo were friendly and helpful. During a rare rain storm, they were quick to share umbrellas. The motel is walking distance to Old Town. Lovely!

All motels are definitely not created equal, so I was pleasantly surprised with my stay here. Check-in was smooth, the owner very nice. He offered me a map of the area and circled some highly recommended restaurants in the area (and thumbs-up to his recommendations!). Room access is outdoors in the single-story buildings, and each has a light outside for... More

This motel is great. Large rooms with everything you need. Separate laundry room just 75 cents. Nice pool. Right on Route 66. Short walk to Old Town with the fascinating rattlesnake museum and many restaurants and cafes. Thoroughly recommended.

A cheap motel right on Route 66, and the historic city area. The room keys are REAL keys, and this is a one-floor motel with rooms numbers starting at 1, rather than 101... We found the room slightly small but clean, and sufficient to our needs. If you're looking for the road trip experience - this is the place for... More

The owners Bo and Henry went above and beyond for me at this motel. First of all I pulled in and my door handle on the drivers side would not open, and Bo helped me find a service station. Next I told Henry I wanted to use the internet and he helped me, then I left my camera battery charger... More

Great place. Wonderful owners. Love the roses. Close to the core of Albuquerque. Highly recommend. Reserve early in the day. We did get in @ 7 pm. Last room on a Sunday night. The motto is right " Once you stay with us, no doubt you'll be back!!

If you want to explore Albuquerque old town this is a great base , clean huge room with a lovely pool area. The owner was so helpful and recommended some great places to eat. Lots to do in the area , definitely one of my favourite stops along Route 66 and great value too !

The TA community is spot-on about this place. A classic 40s-50s Route 66 motel, well priced, utterly charming. Sure, the rooms are smallish by contemporary standards, but clean, comfy and quiet, and the inn staff is bend-over-backwards friendly. A '58 T-Bird and Kookie's comb were the only things missing. Loved it.

Anyone interested in Route 66 or just a great bargain, needs to stay at the Non-Smokers Motel. The owners were just the most friendly people we met on our 22 day trip. This motel has a nice guest laundry that we took advantage of, and while the laundry was being done, we enjoyed their very clean outdoor pool. Our room... More

Typically the word budget as it relates to motels means something negative. Nothing could be further from the truth here at the Monterey Nonsmokers Motel. I stayed here about 5 years ago and when my husband and I planned to be in the Albuquerque area we made reservations here. The rooms are immaculate, comfortable and homey. There is a nice... More
