I spent 2 nights at the Monterey Non-Smokers Motel and found it absolutely charming and perfectly located. It's within walking distance of Old Town, and right on Route 66 (Central Avenue) which can take you pretty much anywhere you want to go in Albuquerque. I thought the vintage/70s style decor was completely charming and the pool was just an added... More

The Old Town Monterey Non-Smokers Motel is a completely remodeled Old Route 66 Motel. It has the Old School Neon Sign out front glowing their warm-welcome in the sunset-evenings. This Motel takes you back to a simpler time in America, and is only one and 1/2 blocks away from the Old Town Albuquerque Square. The coffee maker in your Bathroom... More

This hotel is a wonderful place! It is located within walking distance of Old Town and is in the classic 1950s style that is the essence of route 66. The neighborhood is safe, the hotel is extraordinarily clean and comfortable. The staff is helpful, friendly and very accommodating. The pool was immaculate, and very refreshing after a long hot day... More

This motel is an excellent choice in Albuquerque, particularly for those people following Route 66. It is located in a particularly convenient area of Albuquerque within easy walking distance of Old Town. It boasts a classic neon sign from back in the day but the rooms have been very nicely refurbished. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. Everything is... More

The motel owners are super sweet and the room was very clean and cute. I would recommend staying here. My only complaint was when I woke up and went to shower I found a nasty coach roach. Other than the one roach I couldn't find any dust anywhere. The beds were very clean and we all slept well.

We apologize for the inconvenience. We take pride in keeping our place exceptionally clean and have reported the incident to our pest control service team (HomeTeam Pest Defense) that has been servicing our business for 17+ years. Thank You! Management More

We went on a "Route 66" road trip and this was one of the motels we chose, as we were trying to avoid the big hotel chains in keeping with the nostalgic theme of the trip. It was clean, modest and the employees were very nice and welcoming. I would recommend it, especially if you are into the Route 66... More

We choose this place because it was cheap, close to Albuqueque Old Town and we wanted to stay on Route 66! Route 66 was busy and a little tricky to cross and but otherwise we were very happy with our stay. The motel isn't anything special to look at but it is clean, very well run and was a good... More

This property is owned and operated by a couple and they take great pride in their investment. The motel is spotless, with flower bushes by the doors of each unit. The motel is located very close to Old Town, a ten min. walk, and just around the corner in the opposite direction are the Botanical Gardens and Aquarium. There is... More

The first thing you notice when you pull up is all of the beautiful roses and other flowers in the courtyard area. The owner and his wife are charming, friendly Europeans, and the rooms reflect a continental touch. Our room was comfortable and clean, with a small dinette table for our morning juice. The swimming pool looked inviting, but wasn't... More

Great place to stay right on Route 66. Walking distance to Old Towne shops and eateries. Walk was easy and safe and was very interesting. Room was clean and large. I most definetly recommend a stay here.
