Recently stayed at Sandia Peak and was pleased with the accommodations. The owner, Kay, was gracious and attentive to your needs. The Inn provided breakfast that was varied and fresh. During Balloon Festival she even got up at 3:30 am to accommodate those who needed breakfast .Driving time to Old Town is 5 minutes. Rooms were clean and adequate.

We read the reviews and booked this motel for a trip to Albuquerque. I was surprised at the friendly nature of things on the phone when reserving, but it got even better when we were on-site. The desk staff was great, and when I mentioned a minor problem in the room, it was fixed by the time we returned that... More

I have to admit to being somewhat of a 'lodging' snob. Motels languish on the bottom, like lazy catfish. We opted for Sandia Peak based on two considerations: their prior reviews, and the price. It deserves every bit of prior enthusiasm. I don't know how folks first found this place, but you cannot beat the 'bang' for your buck. Colorful;... More

I'm giving the Sanida 4 dots because I don't think I've ever come across such amazing, caring managers/owners of a motel, ever! We arrived after midnight and had to ring the bell to check in (we had called in advance) there was no problem at all, no attitude - great. Check in was fast and easy. We were upgraded to... More

We were greeted by Bernadette who was very sweet. She gave us recommendations for local attractions, restaurants and even dance clubs. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. Unfortunately, the wifi wasn't the best. Barely got any signal, but we spent most of our time hiking the sandia mountain and exploring the town so it didn't matter too much.... More

I have to be real on my ratings, I don't usually give excellent unless it is truly excellent. The owner, Kay, got "A" for her energy, hard work and really trying to please her guests. This motel on the Old Route "66" does have its charm and one definitely knows it is not in an upscale neighborhood. Though it is... More

I stayed at this motel in the middle of my journey across the country. On this journey, we stayed at numerous hotels/motels. This one, by far, was the best deal. It was one of the least expensive motels we stayed in, but also was the cleanest! The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The furniture in the room is very... More

Ms. Kay is a wonderful Inn keeper and her place shows her love for it too. Beautiful, clean Southwest design rooms. Breakfast was delicious. One wonders how she maintains such an energetic happy-go-lucky personality! I love it! Its so intoxicating! Can't wait to swing through Albuquerque again just to stay here. ^_^

This hotel is so worth your time to go, especially if on a budget. The owner takes extra care to make your stay special, from the extra clean rooms to the decorations outside - they provide extra amenities you wouldn't expect to find in a hotel this size, which means they go the extra mile.. When you are there, ask... More
