We elected to stay at Sandia Peak because of the great Trip reviews and it was a great decision. Kay, the owner is conscientious, cares about her guests and the place is exceptionally clean and offers big rooms, comfortable beds, great continental breakfast and a motel that is run by Mom and Pop. I would highly recommend this motel for... More

My son and I had a comfortable room in the corner of the first floor. This Inn has NO elevator. You have to carry bags on outside stairs. My knees give me trouble the Very Nice female owner gave us a first floor room. This Inn is VERY quante, charming and welcoming. The owner (they live on premises) went out... More

Found this hotel in the discount book picked up at the New Mexico welcome center, however my wife checked it out on Expedia. The Sandia Peak had some great reviews. The rooms are spacious and clean, the breakfast was adequate, nothing fancy just good and basic, the pool was great, the water was like a bath water, warm and refreshing,... More

Stayed here for one night. Kay greeted us with a smile and a warm welcome very late at night! The nonsmoking room was extremely clean and comfortable! Had a small fridge, microwave and large tv. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone!

In comparison to other motels this is a very nice one. The good: I was greeted in a friendly manner and they gave me somehow a room that was already right next to where I had the car parked. The motel is easy to find and the room was big and comfortable. There is a nice and modern television set... More

Really, for the price, it's a no contest . A bit sketchy as you drive to it ( Aaron's furniture rental, dollar store ect. ) . My family gave me a teasing for the choice : but they came around. Good size rooms that are CLEAN and fully equipped . Real towels, free internet, and breakfast. We travel from tucson... More

We stopped here based on Trip Advisor and were very pleased with everything. We had a king room on the second floor. The room was clean, large and updated with no paint or floor issues. We had a mini fridge and microwave and the bathroom had spa shampoo and soap. It was really chilly in the room when we checked... More

Everyone, particularly the owner, was incredibly warm and friendly here. Mind blowing how concerned everyone was about our comfort. The room was big and comfortable and very clean. Fresh fruit and yogurt provided at breakfast, along with the usual suspects, including ubiquitous waffle maker. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it over much more expensive chain hotels

For inexpensive, clean, and friendly lodging, you can't go wrong here. Kay, the owner/manager makes Sandia Peak Inn a charming place to stay. She even bumped my room up to a king suite with a jacuzzi for a small fee, after I came back from a long hike up La Luz trail. The jacuzzi was heaven! Belgian waffles/continental breakfast spread... We haven’t had a reservation for the night but we were welcomed like very old friends. We saw the good ratings but haven't expected such a warm welcome. The motel is directly located on the historic route 66. The room was very clean, perfect size, got everything we needed and the price was absolutely OK. The breakfast was very good... More
