We were passing through Petersburg on the way to NC and wanted an interesting place to stay. The Folly Castle is a colonial era house on one of the main streets, right off of I-95. It has three rooms available. Ours was large and comfortable and had a very nice bathroom. Furnishings and decorations were from colonial times.
The owners are a very friendly couple who go out of their way to help you. They sat with us at breakfast, which was filling and delicious, and we had a fun talk.
Guests have access to a nice garden in the back of the Inn. As much as the term "gem" is overused, the Folly Castle is one!
