I would never stay in this hotel again nor would i recommended to anyone. The room smelled horrible. The shower head is facing the shower curtain so all the water fell outside & the hot water did not work.It was an awful experiance & the owners did not fix any problemsor change me rooms, they sprayed the room w/air freshner.... more

My stay at this modest, older motel was a pleasant surprise. The room was very clean, and I appreciated the mini fridge and microwave in the room, and several shelves to store food items. The EconoLodge will be the ONLY place in Corpus where I will stay in the future. Its quality and service are in very pleasant contrast to the generally ghastly hotels in Corpus, especially on the bayfront. My visit was over the two nights of 19-20 October 2007. We stayed 2 nights at Econo Lodge in a hugh room with 3 queen size beds. They were the most comfortable beds in our 2 week holiday. Right across street from park/ocean bay & near mansion homes. This property is privately owned and has been recently renovated. The owners have done a fabulous job with the interiors of these rooms - definitely not your average EconoLodge stay.
