Since discovering it a couple years ago we have considered the George Blucher House in Corpus Christi to be the best kept secret in Texas. Tracey, the owner, is an interior designer and in addition to a thorough architectural restoration of the grand old house she has collected and furnished the building with an artful blend of custom made bedspreads... We, being B&B owners ourselves, are always searching for the "perfect" B&B and this one is about it!! Built in 1904, the house has been lovingly and accurately restored (the before and after photos are quite interesting). It is situated in a very quiet neighborhood, which translates to ample parking and a peaceful night's rest. The house itself is stunning... More

This was my first time at a bed and breakfast, and let me begin to say how delightful it was. We arrived earlier than normal check in, but the innkeeper arranged for us to check in early. The breakfast at the Blucher House was incredible from start to finish. Each of the three courses were delicious and the ambiance in... More

The George Blucher house is elegant, historically interesting, yet welcoming and unpretentious. It's a quiet, convenient, private spot to relax and enjoy sumptuous breakfasts in gracious garden surroundings. What a welcome change from the bustling tour-filled, soccer team inhabited local chain hotels. This inn is a unique bargain, particularly because Tracey, the exceptional innkeeper, is a wonderful concierge, guide to... More

This was my second stay at the Blucher House. The hostess Tracey is wonderful and strives to ensure you enjoy your stay. She provides a wonderful breakfast, perfect ambience, and allows her guest the space and time to just enjoy exploring and living in such a historical landmark that has been revived to feel like the period in the 1800's.... Pure bliss is the only description I can think of for the Blucher House. I have stayed in numerous luxury hotels around the world; therefore, I have extremely high expectations of places where I will stay on vacation. We stumbled on to this place through trip adviser, and I am so glad that we did. The accommodations were posh and... More

My wife and I stayed at the George Blucher house the week after Labor Day as a get away from work. We read multiple reviews and decided this was the place to go. My wife and I don't typically stay at bed-and-breakfasts but this place was something special. The home was built somewhere between the end of the 19th century... More

Thank you Adam! What a lovely review! We so appreciate it when our guests take time to write about their experiences here at the Inn. And you went above and beyond! Maybe we've turned you both into B&B enthusiasts now? All the best from all of here at the Blucher House! Tracey More

We were looking for a peaceful getaway in Corpus and were very fortunate to find a vacancy at this wonderful B&B on August 18th. It is only five minutes or so from Shoreline drive along the T heads but tucked away in the historic area of Corpus right next to the Nature Conservancy. What a beautiful quiet place in this... Thank you so much Elda for the great review! We so enjoyed welcoming you to the Inn and do hope to see you back one day! I am also glad you enjoyed our Italian pottery! We had it custom made in Deruta, Italy and love sharing it with our guests......although the girls aren't too happy when we use it as... More

My wife and I stayed here for two nights (Annie's Room) as part of a Texas roadtrip. We really enjoyed the way everything was set up, the antique, yet homey, feel to the place. Tracey and Sue were very friendly and the breakfast was great. If you are going to Corpus, this is a great alternative to a hotel and... More

Our second visit to Blucher House and all was superb as usual. Tracey Smith is the most gracious of innkeepers, and prepares one of the best breakfasts you have ever tasted. The rooms are tasteful and luxurious with every amenity you could require. The ONLY place to stay on Corpus!
