This roadside motel was surprisingly comfortable, refrigerator and microwave worked, but don't expect much more than that. The carpeted floors were probably the dirtiest I've seen in a rental, and the bed sheets looked like they likely didn't get agitated enough in the wash machine as there were some hairs in the bed. The sheets smelled clean, so I figure... More

This is a quirky little roadside motel with a small bar (lounge) locate across the parking lot attached to the motel office and a funny little shuttle bus parked at the motel for picking up and dropping off any "drinkers". The motel room itself was surprisingly comfortable and quiet. As for clean...well, the carpeted floors were probably the dirtiest I've... More

Big Spring Road Motel is exactly what you would expect from a road side motel. Nothing extravagant but it had decent beds, clean and quiet(considering the bar was just across the way, which was convenient). It was very hot when we were there and I was worried the air conditioner wouldn't keep up but it kept the room nice and... More

While looking at a picture of the Landing mistakely booked this motel thinking it was the Landing.. The only reason we stayed was we arrived at 8PM and figured might as well stay. Although the room was clean, smelled musty, bed was terrible not even a paper cup to drink a glass of water.. Our room was a duplex of... More

If you don't bring your own toiletries or hair dryer then this place is not for you. Since we do, I would much rather stay in a place like this! This brought back fond memories of traveling across country with our 2 sons back in the 80's/90's. Negatives were fiddling with the AC and learning how to turn off the... More

Girlfriend week of floating and ole' Jim came through again for a motel room. He told us during the week is the best time because the river is not crowded and neither is the motel. He was absolutely right. Our room was big enough with two beds, had a little kitchen that we could cook in and a table to... More

The rooms have recently been completely remodeled, decor is "Country" with pine paneling. Rooms are very clean, bed mattresses are "memory foam" queen bed and very comfortable. There are small refrigerators and microwaves in each Air Conditioned room, clean bathrooms. No coffee makers, when asked why, Jim, the owner, stated that several patrons had left them on causing a fire... More

Our church group has been traveling from Memphis to the Big Springs Motel every year, for almost 20 years to float the river. We have 20-30 people and usually rent the whole strip of rooms for the weekend. Rooms have all been redone in the last several years. Jim is a great host. The bar is far enough away from... More

Came down with family from Oregon. Wonderful place. Had fun with the owner Jim and the bartenders Josh and Barb and the lounge witch is on the same property.
