Great venue. . .everything you need is right there. The water taxi to historic Alexandria which docks right at the property. . .I expected a bit more in terms of the little things for a hotel of this caliber, for example there is no compliementary coffee service. You have to ask for basics like mouth wash, etc.

Hubby and i was in need of time together. We were so happy with our selection. We loved the whole experience at the Gaylord.....however, what we appreciate the most was the cleaniness of the room and the hotel....believe me, it was almost unbelieveable for the number of guest that was there...everything was.so very beautiful, so very clean. We are planning... More

Stayed Aug 2-7 for a convention and was very disappointed in the banquet food, amenities in the room, type of beds, handicapped facilities, etc. I thought Gaylord was was a luxury brand, as I stayed in the Nashville location and was pleased. However, this location was quite disappointing, even down to how the bill was itemized. The restaurant food was... More

I stayed here for six nights during a conference held in the Gaylord facilities. It was a rocky start, but ended well. Upon checkin my room keys didn't work. Once that issue was resolved, my room smelled strongly of smoke (in a non-smoking hotel). Staff was quick to give me a new room, which worked well. It is important to... More

Stayed 4 nights mixing business (convention) and pleasure. The atrium makes for quite an attraction, the amenities we used (fitness club, spa, pool) were all of very good quality and our room (standard king - no atrium view) was perfectly comfortable. The surrounding development area (National Harbor) has a wide variety of dining options and a nice little waterfront. Since... More

We spent the 4th of July overlooking the water and watching the fireworks from our balcony. The hotel was very clean and electric with holiday energy. The kids enjoyed it and so did we. The front desk staff was adequate but not very fast. The lines were too long and the receptionist was not very informative. Maybe she was overwhelmed.... More

We live just across the river, but were looking for a gift to ourselves for Christmas...a little mini-getaway instead of buying eachother another material item we didn't need. We loved seeing ICE! in 2009, so we decided to purchase a package for 2010, including tickets to ICE! and a one-night stay over at the Gaylord. While ICE! was just as... More

Stayed here on a business trip for 3 nights. Superb service, great location and by the ferry service which takes you to the old quarter. You can even see those presidential helicopters fly past to the airport. The interior deco is beautiful. I especially loved the courtyard and looking our that massive glass wall facing the river. Great service and... More
