Comparable to other high-end DC area hotels ($350+/night, up to $1000/night!), this was a good deal ($229/night) with a much larger room in a very well maintained property. Very friendly & helpful staff. Easy ride on the Metro into the city. Definitely worth it.

We stayed at Gaylord after a frustrating day ended up in a relaxing night. we really liked the ambiance and also the fantastic Atrium they made inside the hotel area. The main cons of this hotel is the distance from downtown DC, but everything else is extremely good for the price you are paying

We really enjoyed our stay!! I did expect more from the hotel room itself (maybe a little more modern) but it was nice and comfortable. We got a lot of rest and enjoyed the shops, water show, fireworks, and the Belvedere Lobby Bar. I thought the shopping around the hotel would have been better but maybe they can build up... More

I am honestly very disappointed. I stayed at the Gaylord Palms last year for a business convention and was absolutely blown away. The faciility is over the top gorgeous, thee service was impecable. I came here with very high hopes. HHonestly from the moment I entered the hotel my I knew it was not going to be like the Palms.... More

Not close - not far. Definitely not convenient for attractions of the DC region. A $20-30 cab ride to everywhere. There is no subway station nearby. Basically trapped with limited selection of okay food. Located in the heart of national harbor, the gaylord is a nice facility for the conference goer. Hotel staff seem well trained and professional. The hotel... More

This hotel is huge ... If you like the typical American huge hotel this one is a good one ... It has everything pretty much! As a matter of fact, I'm sure you don't have to leave the hotel for a week and you still be fine with the multiple restaurants and activities. BUT, for me personally, I really didnt... More

I stayed here for a conference I was attending, and brought my husband and 6 year old son. The hotel is lovely, very upscale but more times than not, it felt like a bull in a china shop when my son was with us. I'm sure the hotel feels they've made everything family friendly- but as nice as it was,... More

Beware! A sharp screw protruded out of the seat cushion on the chair in the bathroom and gouged my thigh when I sat down. Ouch!! Also, several supposedly clean towels placed in my bathroom during my stay were either dirty or stained (with what looked like blood). Lastly, there were several brief and utterly perplexing power outages in the room... More

The Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center is a new hotel located in a previously underutilized land 20 minutes from DC. This is the perfect location for a business conference, but I would not recommend the location for tourists or couples looking for a romantic get-away. Everything is expensive in the hotel and outside within walking distance - you are... More

I grew up in the DC area and coming back on business to this National Harbor area (which did not exist until 2008) was a little bizarre to me. For years, I drove by and looked out at the Potomic from the beltway bridge and saw forest---Now you see a Las Vegas sized hotel and convention center. Kind of weird.... More
