My daughter was supposed to compete at the capital classic being held at the gaylord. We had a reservation for two nights with a 72 hour cancellation policy. Otherwise you forfeited the cost of one night. We were driving 4 1/2 hours to reach the hotel. My daughter woke up in the middle of the night right before we were... More

I just returned from a 5 day stay at the Gaylord national harbor. My family and I were really looking forward to going back there, as we had visited at Christmas a few years ago. The experience was quite lacking to be certain... Upon arrival in our room, we found someone else's clothing in the bathroom. I called and told... More

Excellent facilities for a convention. You can find all the facilities in the town area. If your stay is for vacation, only taxi is the transportation. If you want to stay in the hotel you have all what you need to have a good time.

We stayed 5 days last week for a combo business and leisure trip. The room was very nice with all the expected bells and whistles. Staff was efficient and friendly. We were with a large conference and I was amazed at the quality of the food service for our group of over 7000. Catch the water taxi at the hotel... More

PROS. Nice hotel, large convention space, nice rooms, event ballroom ideal for weddings especially the cherry blossom room and the gazebo on the atrium level against the backdrop of the glass windows overlooking the riverfront ideal for sunset wedding ceremonies. Love the balcony and the view from the room, beautiful view of river and planes landing at Ronald Reagan airport.... More

I'm here for a very large convention -- and amazingly the hotel has three other conventions at the same time. The hotel is huge. Rooms are very nice, some with views. The walk from the elevator to my room is really long -- almost a joke. The restaurants adjacent to the hotel are good. The one complaint is that the... More

I stayed here for two nights for a conference. It is a large conference hotel with multiple ballrooms, restaurants and entertainment venues - similar to the other Gaylord properties but smaller than the Texan, Palms and Nashville. The staff was wonderful. I was able to obtain a suite which was extremely nice. Because it is not in DC proper and... More

I recently stayed at the Gaylord for a conference and had a wonderful experience. First of all the staff was very helpful- quick check in/ out and responsive to questions. When we had questions about how to use the water taxi, or where to eat in Alexandria they were very friendly and helpful in giving suggestions. The hotel and conference... More

Modern architecture marvels me; this hotel and convention center is no difference. I was here for three days for my graduation. I absolutely refused to stay here for almost three hundred dollars a night, which was my school's special rate. My three days spent here, I still did not get to see every inch of the hotel because it is... More

I was wondering how the Gaylord in DC would compare to Nashville with its grand center of plants and water features and so many rooms facing this, and discovered a totally different way of incorporating the atrium of walkways thru plants and fountains, with a few rooms that faced the atrium, shops and restaraunts and a view of the Potomac...
