Check in was pleasent and helpful. We stayed in a cabin, it was nice and cozy. The amenities were nice (a/c, TV, swiming pool). My only complaint: the stairs need ot be wider, the pillows were to flat, the towels were frayed, and I encountered a large spider on the side of the night stand. It was abount 3 inches... more

With temperatures hitting 3 figures Fahrenheit, you may need a siesta! The air-conditioning didn't seem to work very well so it's a good thing they have a swimming pool. Otherwise not a bad place, well located for the fascinating Organ Pipe National Monument. Local eateries include Marcela's (breakfast) and the Bamboo Village (supper). The town of Ajo has a wonderful... more

A motel in Ajo isn't exactly a 5-star property. But if you're looking for a clean room with a good bed, than this is it. Rooms are big, have airconditioning and a little heater for the winter. There is a fridge and a microwave in the room. The staf was very friendly. There is no breakfast but there are cheap... more

This would not be for everyon as it is in teh middle of no where! We stayed in a cabin which was basic but well kept. The front desk was helpful. They have a small pool and hot tub which was exceptionally clean and as we appeared to be the only people staying there, we had this completely to ourselves! more

It was a pleasant surprise on our first stay in 2005. Since then, we've stayed four times and have enjoyed every minute. Yes, it's basic lodging; but, the service is wonderful!!! And the pool is a real pleasure! more

The room's interior looks quite old and worn. Also not that well cleaned. Price was on the high side for what you get approx. $67 including tax. I've stayed at better hotels for less. Other motels in Ajo are cheaper. Walls are not well isolated so you do here noise from other motel guests. And why do bikers always have... more

This is a perfect location for visiting the Organ Pipe NP - however if you are not, just keep on driving past and stay somewhere else (e.g. Tucson or Phoenix) It was 112F and the aircon unit was on maximum and just couldn't cope. The building is not really constructed to keep the heat out. Even with the ceiling fan... more

We booked well in advance and were glad we did - the hotel was full when we arrived. A good choice, especially in comparison to the Marine Motel. We stayed in a one room cabin - basic room with a bed, sink, fridge, microwave, table, two chairs, AC, and shower (no tub). The cabins are pretty small but more than... more

The cabins at La Siesta are rather basic, but are clean and comfortable and a nice change from typical sterile hotel rooms. Cabins have a microwave and fridge so we were able to make our own meals, and a little table to eat at. Everything was cleaned daily. A/C and TV were fully functional - we didn't need the heater,... more
